I was just discussing with my gf about cartoons, we used to watch when we were kids. And I got really nostalgic and tried to search some of the classic russian cartoons. As I am originally from Lithuania, we used to get only those in past Soviet Russia. But their quality is so~ much better that those f*cking disney craptoons! Anyway, I found them on youtube with english subtitles. Just watch them and enjoy!
This is the russian Winnie the pooh (Vinni puh). IMO much more fun to watch (than Disney's). Too bad only one episode with subtitles:
And this is the very classic "Karlson, who lived on the roof" with his famous frase "1cake and 8candles? Better 8cakes and 1candle!": Part1
Part2
Karlson Returns! Part1
Part2
And who doesn't know "Nu pogody" with the badass wolf:
(no subtitles here, but all he ever says is "You rabbit! Just you wait!"
omfg! no zaiet pogodi! that was my childhood cartoon! each morning when i was in the primary school i used to watch this on the moldavian tv station TV Chisinau! oh the memories...
Really interesting morals at the end of vinni the puh. "Don't stay visiting for too long or you might find yourself in a tight spot," "And what rabbit thought no one will know because he's much too polite." That's pretty awesome.
aww brings memories karslon, nu pogodi etc were so good there's 1 more i'm forgetting that was rather popular, i'll edit if i remember what it was some of these subtitles though are so off
didnt watch em but just skiped through a few, cool animation ^^
Old animation technics were so much... I dunno more 'sensual' - like now with computer animation and whatnot they just lose so much of their "organic feel"
