Night 1 Artanis and rsoultin had spent the past several days hiking together in Germany through much of the famed Mosel vineyards and onwards to Frankfurt. Pitching a tent near the castle, they roasted smores over a small fire. Their plan was to hike around the castle and continue north on a nearby trail. "Hey Tina, there are a few castles also north of us but this one is famous from Shelley's novel. There are a few overnight tours that extend through the night, maybe we can pay a few euros for a drop in. It might be a very cool idea," suggested Artanis. She looked at her purse. "How much are we talking?" "Well we don't have to pay the lodging fees," he said, "so definitely not the 53 euros that most over visitors are paying. But we'll sign waivers and see what we can get for a drop in, unless they don't have the staff to accommodate us." At around 2330, they cleaned up and made way towards the castle. Artanis explained his situation and ultimately, the pair dropped in for 20 euros each. Disformation met them at the front door. "Greetings," he said delightfully. "We do get a few drop ins off the hiking trail. Generally loads of backpackers. You came in during one of the few days you are able to. Be aware that as we have separate overnight tours going on in the premises, some of the access you have will be very limited, access to the extensions will require an additional fee." "I think we're quite alright," Artanis replied. "We're looking at a few hours max and we need to get some sleep before we're on our way." He and rsoultin proceeded forth, going past the main restaurant, through the main courtyard. The pair proceeded hand in hand through the catacombs and were intrigued by the patterns of skulls lining the walls. Rsoultin then wandered around a corner to take a look at a mirror as Artanis kept proceeding forward, the slight fatigue wearing on him. "Hey Tina," he said, "let's try and make our way towards the bog." No response. "Tina?" No response. Artanis doubled back towards the mirrors that rsoultin was taking a look at. No sign of her. "Alright, Tina," he started. "Seriously, no time for games." He heard a crunch beneath his foot in the rubble. Upon stepping back, he immediately recognised the ruby necklace Tina had been wearing. Then he felt a slippery substance. He lit his pocket torch. rsoultin's necklace was covered....in blood. In a panic, Artanis screamed her name, rushing in a blind panic trying to search for his companion in vain. Finally, he opened the castle map, and found his way to the crypt. The first thing he saw was a fresh puddle of blood. A few metres away, was his companion's bag. Artanis screamed with a pain that cut to the bottom of his heart.
