Hey everyone, today I'm happy to announce the next series of LotV tournaments leading to a $1K final to be held on December 12th. There will be two qualifiers (each with their own thread), the first one being Sunday, Nov 22 9:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00), featuring a $300 prize pool.
Rules
All Players must check-in online and join the chat channel "Gauntlet" (no quotation marks) on the NORTH AMERICAN SERVER. All matches are administered on the NA chat channel, do not go to EU or another region without an Admin approving your match to do so!
Qualifier #1 is hosted on the NA server, open to North & South American, SEA, and EU Players. The second qualifier will be hosted on the EU server.
No player streams after Round of 16, if a player is casted on a Gauntlet Stream in the ro16, they must take down their stream immediately.
Games must be played on the NA server unless both players reside in a different region at the time of their respective game.
The top 4 from each qualifier will be invited to the Global finals on December 12th.
The finals on December 12th will feature 8 qualified participants and 8 other invited players. Invited players will be announced at a later date and will act as a safety net should a well known player be unavailable to play in the qualifier.
What is Gauntlet StarCraft? I get this question from time to time, so I thought I would take some time to explain what Gauntlet StarCraft is and what my future plans/goals are.
-Gauntlet StarCraft is a personal endeavor of mine, the project is completely funded by myself and is a collaboration of people/organizations to bring you high quality StarCraft. In 2014 I had success in my personal business ventures and decided that I would try to build a North American StarCraft-centered organization. I've been an RTS fan my entire life but it wasn't until WoL I discovered what esport was. Since then it's always been a goal of mine to do something like this and I'm extremely happy with what we've done so far, with over 3K in prize money paid out across a diversity of players including the likes of Kelazhur, Beastyqt, Solar, and many others.
-Goals- Right now the goal is to continue to produce series of events that build story lines for localized NA/EU players. In the future my goal is for Gauntlet to be self-sustaining with sponsorship's and subscription revenue. We will also be bringing Heroes of the Storm tournaments in the near future, possibly Overwatch as well.
Casters - For this event we are pleased to bring in Falcon Paladin to join BobbyAwesome! For those of you who haven't seen him, check out Falcon Paladin and his Youtube channel here!
1st - $150
2nd - $100
3rd/4th - $25 (each)
Prize money is held in escrow by ESL in a good faith effort, and distributed to the players via ESL payment procedures. This process can take a few weeks, thank you for your patience!

Thanks for always supporting! It really means a lot thank you. Yeah, Falcon has done well lately with his youtube channel and for this event we'll have a dedicated observer for the first time, so overall things should improve!
When this says localized for NA, does this mean SEA servers are included in the NA tournament, despite being no where near NA? And how are servers determined, No rules seemed to be mentioned here.

Taken from the Info section on ESL sign-up page
In the event of cross server play, Qualifier #1 will default to the American Servers
In the event of Korea or Sea to EU play, the default server will be EU
If two players are playing in the same region with multiple servers, the higher seeded player will host the first map, in alternating order with the second player thereafter.
Games casted on the Gauntlet channel will take place on the Central United States Server
Due to the maturity of LotV, should any other unforeseen issues arise and admin will make the call on the spot.
So basically, if you normally play on a continental North American server, your games will be played on the Central/East/West server, and people from EU, SEA, etc will have to connect cross-server to play you. Since there are multiple "NA" servers now that aren't physically within North America itself, it complicates matters. Admins will be setting up games so hopefully things go smoothly. Admittedly, we are still getting used to the new UI, additional servers, etc.

Alright, sounds good. At least these rules are getting defined so there will be less issues in the future and less arguing over stuff. Thanks.
I can't wait to see this thing go off without a hitch I have a lot of faith in Ctone & the ESL NA team, not to mention my boy FalconPaladin as a caster I just hate that I had to turn down casting it myself!
For anyone who cares to see the commercial before it's released at 8 AM Eastern, here's a sneak preview!
2 hours until we begin! Please take note of the rules section, specifically the process for finding your match!!

TOP is getting rekt hard. Its strange that Byun's TvT is still looking this strong. He played so many TvTs this month I figured that players would start figuring him out a little..
