Why would there be?
ISIS has enough armies and militias at their throats, no need for a European expeditionary force.
USA wouldn't go to war over a terrorist attack that killed between 10 and 20 ppl. Mobilization of whom? The French? They have been fighting against terror for years. So it has already happened. Do they have a standing army in Iraq and Syria? That's where ISIS is right now. I'm thinking ISIS ideology.
Gotcha. No, i don't think they have anyone in Syria or Iraq. Africa mostly nowadays.

This is a really sick thought I'm having but I'm already glad there were no beheadings... Imagine them doing that to their victims. Fucking ISIS.
Won't you die already please.
|
What infuriates me atm is, that they could get away or there might be more victims.
Please catch them already.
|
So sad To the victims I say RIP and to the families/friends I can only offer my condolences.

There is no information to my knowledge linking these people to any terrorist group in particular. Please refrain from making claims such as this without information.

Thread specific - in the OP it says not to post videos of the officer being shot. Please respect that, and the person who became a victim. We don't need to see it happening on video while it is still so fresh. It might be courageous etc etc that the cop did his job, but honestly, out of respect to him, his family, potential friends, and the french users of TL i dont think we need that video on TL.net at the moment.

I'm glad they're sending the police and not the army Terrorism should be fought with policemen and judges

This is strange because I recently finished writing a large research paper for my philosophy class. The subject I chose was whether or not it was "right" for Jyllands Posten to publish the muhammad cartoons that it did. That was over 9 years ago. Not much has changed. I can post my paper if anyone wants to read it.

I'll read it at some point. But you should only post it privately, so it doesnt get indexed by a search engine before your marks are posted. So we don't need to be worried about any of that indexing auto search crap and your school stuff.

People are quick to jump into conclusions. Didn't it seem too convenient that people were shooting videos from rooftop when all of it was happenning. I would shit my pants and ran away asap.

Are you trying to start a conspiracy theory?! that would be just plain stupid

At this point it looks like they got away. If they really speak fluent French and noone saw their faces (because of masks) it will be extremly hard to find them. Does anyone knows how long does the shooting lasted? Did they manged to leave Paris or are they still inside city?
|
That is no concern, I already have received my grades for the semester. Basically my conclusion was "it's not black and white but no it was not right for them to publish the cartoons". I'll post it in a sec.

About ten of our Rafale jets are bombing ISIS in Iraq, and the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle was rumoured to leave for the Gulf next week. No ground forces in Iraq, but only the American have any. Australia has 200+ personel in the area

I´m interested in reading it as well ^^
@Zeromus: No, there´s no confirmation that these guys are from ISIS or any other particular group. But i think it´s highly likely they were influenced by radical islam (e.g. the target is a strong indicator)

BBC (and Reddit) said that, there's armed forces guarding public places. So they are involved already. Correct me if thats incorrect information.

What is ISIS ? I think i know but the name is different in french.
Is it Islamic state ? Because they claimed to be al kaida (it's not verified) and i thought islamic state and alkaida were different.
