Depends how you rate GSL GC and KeSPA Cup. 32 player event > 16 player event. Also where is soO's 2013 S3 2nd place? That's recent enough to be relevant.

That's recent enough to be relevant. lol i pressed edit The argument is usually "best player of the year" and while worth noting, his 2nd in WCS KR S3 2013 is hardly recent. Otherwise Dear would still be in the discussion of best players for his double title. 32 > 16 might make sense mathematically, but the argument doesn't really hold under inspection. All tournaments have a Ro16, and before that, more rounds either in the main tournament or in the qualifiers. GSL GC and KeSPA Cup may have had "invites", but as they were the champions of each region it is arguable that it was hardly an invite and rather a qualified seed like a regular tournament. The difficulty of winning said tournaments is what matters. Since GSL GC and KeSPA Cup both gathered champions and excellent players who won qualifiers, the gap between those tournaments and GSL isn't large enough to make winning those tournaments value less than a 2nd place in GSL.

I predict Soo going for off the wall strategies, as Inno's macro is the greatest in the game and his mech play the most powerful. In a straight up game, Soofer will get crushed...

Other posters have posted Zests achievements which are incredible but beyond that I was mostly referring to the eye test. His wins have just looked more impressive IMO and if you go back to their recent bo7, Zest looked like a better overall player in the h2h even despite the loss. Reasonable people will disagree, but to say that soO winning the GSL cements him as best in the world without debate is absurd.

Well I assume after he wins and he holds the trophy, he'll awkwardly take a moment, awkwardly glance at the cameras, give it a sniff, then awkwardly kiss it. + Show Spoiler + I was alluding to his last appearance in the GSL finals when he got a bouquet of flowers for 2nd place, then he sniffed it awkwardly, in case you missed the reference lol

Edit: Ballsy prediction: soO wins this 4-2 by winning map 2, 3, 4 and 6. 2nd Edit: Gandalf said: "There shall be a proxy Hatchery on Foxtrot Labs."
