INTERVIEWS

+ Show Spoiler [Interview] +
SynC: Hey, castle, congratulations on making it to the finals.
This will be your first time playing in the finals after 2 seasons of coming up short in the semifinals, how do you feel being able to finally play in a best-of-7?
castle[eMg]: When I started playing these tours I had a lot of nerves but I think I'm finally getting more comfortable and feel like I can win this season
SynC: Your opponent is going to be last season's champion in Radley, someone who has pretty much dominated in all of his series wins so far. What do you consider to be his strengths and in particular, his TvP?
castle[eMg]: I think in general
Radley is a really cool and creative player, he does unorthodox things that can still win games vs good players. I think his best quality is his game sense and pushes, but I still think there's a good chance of me winning the series
SynC: What strengths of your gameplay do you think will be able to trouble Radley and the style that he brings into the series?
castle[eMg]: I dont want to give too much away
But I think if I stay clam and focused and stick to my original gameplan, I will win
SynC: Haha, fair enough. Going back to the topic of falling short in the semis, how did it feel to beat your teammate, flyingjelly, as he was also the player that beat you 3-1 last season in the semis?
castle[eMg]: I think that series could have went either way and I am just lucky that it went my way on that particular day. I feel good about making it into the finals and knocking him out even though he is my bro XD
SynC: You and Radley have actually played each other for Crimson twice last season, with both of you taking a game each. Anything you'll be able to take away from those games leading into this upcoming series?
castle[eMg]: Honestly I completely forgot what happened in the game that he won, but I do remember the game I won. I sort of have an idea of how he's played before and I know he hates playing vs p so hopefully those factors will help me out :D
SynC: Personally, I wish you luck and we're definitely due for a Protoss winner, despite the always-stacked Protoss lineup every season. Any last words for the viewers before the finals?
castle[eMg]: Thanks to you, RedAxis for hosting all these tours and giving me some extra motivation to play and better myself at this legendary game. Thanks to all the people that participated and to all of the casters.. I hope everyone tunes in for some good games
.. Shoutout to Telecom ~godbless
SynC: ...wat?
Alright... Uhh, well... Good luck in the finals!
castle[eMg]: thx :D
SynC: Much thanks for your time

FOOTNOTE
Another season ends as we're about to crown our Season 3 champion. Although this tournament produced great games as it featured probably the best roster in terms of quality, it was unfortunately marred by a ton of walkovers, seemingly more than the last two seasons. Even going into the quarterfinals, there were walkovers, and the tournament stage is what I would hope to be the point where there's no more walkovers needed. But, besides that, I'd have to say the games and the number of players that participated made this tournament as good as the previous seasons.
About this season's final, we'll actually have our last non-mirror matchup for the finals. Our first season had a ZvP with a

As always, it's been fun to host these tournaments and I wish it was a more prominent occurrence. I think it was better for me to let flyingjelly host Maroon while I run Crimson so that it's possible for both us to give our undivided attention on both leagues, making it run as efficient as possible. It'll probably be that way for the upcoming seasons if he's up for it, and of course, thanks to

Thank you to all the players for playing in the tournament, thank you to Teamliquid for giving us a forum to host our tournament, and thank you to the viewers for supporting Brood War and for giving a reason to have us keep playing! Good luck to the third-place match players and to the finalists, and I hope all the viewers enjoy it as well.
