You wouldn't unless you were playing some sort of rush deck with lots of buffs to the minions already on the board. But otherwise you really want to stay away from 1 hp minions unless you had plans to use it in a creative way or buff it. Some are good like the argent crusader cause it trades well because of the divine shield. Good catch knowing they're actually quite bad!

Thanks for the quick answer.
Is there any way to send a friend request to somebody I am playing just played?
|
do you have a different rating for each of your heroes? it seems a bit daunting trying to make a start with a hero type you havent played before, not having access to half their 'core' cards. does it at least start you from the bottom of the ladder again?
|
Just play unranked mode if you're scared about your rating.

I wanna build a murloc deck, should I burn the other cards to make my murlocs? Destroying 4 cards to make 1 feels like a total waste.

There's only 2 types of play modes, ranked & unranked regardless of heroes. If you're uncomfortable with a new hero, try them out with unranked.

Is there grandmaster? I got to Masters 3 in 2 days and was wondering if there is a reason to play Play Mode other than unlocks/gold at this point. (I'm not Arena Selfsufficient because I suck )

No Grandmaster rank at the moment.

Is there some kind of level/hero restriction on moving up in the ranks? I have won like at least 10 games at gold 2 but haven't moved up. Or does w/l matter when moving up?

W/L ratio does matter. Basically you have to be constantly beating people in your current division way more often than not to move up (from my experience and reading others) but they haven't come out and said "this is how you move up or down" anywhere I've read at least.

I got the beta for this a few days ago.. Should I play? Is it fun?

I wish they tracked losses as well as wins so I could easily refer to how I am doing.

It's quite addicting! And the intro 'quest' was fun too

I keep a spreadsheet of the info for myself in arena for this reason. Doesn't take long to setup and makes it easy to see which classes I do well and which ones I do poorly with (apparently I suck at playing druid and am good at mage/pally) I wouldn't have known that I was that good at pally vs druid. Helps growing as a player a lot I think.

I don't know if this has been asked already.
But happened to me like 4x already ( Taunt + Stealth )
I've encountered a Warlock I was winning, I have a Core Hound + couple of Taunt minions on the field and still several minions at hand
He has a Blood Imp(Stealth) on the field and luckily he got the minion who gives Taunt to adjacent minions. Problem is I can't attack anything since the Imp got Stealth and Taunt. But in the Hearthstone wiki it says http://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Stealth
A card that is in stealth and given taunt by another card will not act as a taunt until it comes out of stealth.
I can't attack his Hero either because of the taunt is in effect. And I ended up losing. ( I was mage, and was out of AoE spells )
Question: Is this working as intended or exploit?

Can anybody explain the "ancient mage" to me? I played it, gave adjacent minions spelldamage but did not get more damage on my fireblast. Do abilities not trigger spelldamage or am i wrong assuming that i get 2 + 1 spelldamage from this ability?

Ancient Mage is a Battle Cry Effect. If you play it and there are no other minions next to him, they do not gain spellpower and your spells do the same damage. Same if the 2 minions on either side of him die.

Definitely a bug/exploit you should be able to attack freely if the taunt minion has stealth.

I don't think fireblast is affected by spell damage.

Fireblast is an ability. Only cards can be spells.
