About 5 years ago, my friends and I played a brief stint of diablo II(I had the game already from when I was under 10 years old). We only played a couple weeks on and off, made it to nightmare. My dad though, kept playing on a frenzy barb. It took him many months of playing an hour or so, and just picking up stuff, selling, putting it stash and then asking me what items he should keep, what he should junk etc. But he kept going, making it through normal, killing cows for a couple of days, and then going on to nightmare. Was hard going for him, some days he wouldn't even finish a quest, and he'd spend 10 minutes just killing an elite pack(wasn't about the gold or the experience, simply the challenge). When he finally got to baal, he tried for a week before finally giving up and letting me kill baal. It took me about 5 minutes of portaling back to town for more potions before I finally succeeded. He was happy to have finally finished it, because while I had the dexterity and familiarity to constantly cycle pots and buffs while staying alive, he simply couldn't manage it all.
Now with the release of D3 RoS, my dad couldn't be happier. He had a witch doctor leveled from vanilla, and with the upgraded pets, it's a simple spec that truly tasks the 5X year old mind. While I sent over some gear from my wizard to get him started, he found all his legendaries himself(although I did craft/rerolls for him, using his mats). First was the mask of jeram. 85%, nothing special, but the int and vit rolled well, and I stuck a diamond in the socket. Amethyst might be better, but he's running a much more defensively geared witch doctor already to try and compensate for poor reaction times/decision making/mechanics(he clicks the potion icon for reference). Then the almost perfect strongarm bracers...and the SoJ. He actually found a SoJ before I ever found one. He went from torment 2 to T4 in about 2 hours over 2 days. Just today he found the thunderfury(pretty godly rolls for him), and he was giddy with excitement about the lightning hitting everything. I might recraft a few things for him to get his all resist a bit higher, but his gear's in a very comfortable place for doing T4 given his capabilities.

Profile for reference. "Write" came about because my dad saw the textbox window, and wrote something in there. I haven't the faintest idea how that works.
Obligatory picture of him happily playing.
