nah, just so happens that most updates are more directly related to adventure mode
|
Thanks to Plexa I was able to start updating the OP, any feedback is welcome !
|
Definitely put some pics in it, DF graphics are pure art

I'm so hyped, my pants are about to explode.
Hopefully the release won't be too broken!

Cannot fucking wait. Though I don't have the patience to play without a tileset and Dwarf Therapist, so I'll have to wait some more even once its released.
|
Anyone know of a list of fortress mode only changes anywhere?
|
|
Anyone know whether major bugs like the hospital overstocking and settings different bolts for training and combat will be fixed?
|
I enjoy this game but found it too clunky to control. Maybe it will be time for another spin after this next big update comes through the pipes.

I'd expect at least half a year for that. The last release has been too fucking long ago, there will be dozens of bugs. ... I want my Masterwork with the new version. :<

I thought last time there was a new release DFHack was updated within a few days (I don't post often on the bay12 forums though, so I might be a little fuzzy on that), so you would think that at least DT would be updated about as quickly. Of course, the tilesets may take longer because they will require new art, but probably not months.
You all that have been playing for a while should give the vanilla ASCII (or, even better, ASCII modded to have square tiles) a try. It actually makes decent sense and in a way allows you to be more creative.

So once that is done DT/DFHack will probably be quick but I'm talking about a fully functional LNP or something similar.
Maybe we're lucky and it will just be a few weeks!

IT doesn't seem like fortress mode is getting any love in this patch
such sad

Is it just me or you can't search for a good embark location based on whether there are trees or not.
|
Isnt fortress mode the whole point of DF?

Climbing alone probably has huge impact on fortress mode. :3

Yeah, probably going to be a bit harder to secure outdoor pasture/farm areas against climbing ennemies.
I wonder how multi-tile trees behave when you chop them down also. Can't wait to get "Urist McLumberjack has been crushed by a falling tree" messages.

isn't there going to be tree grazing so you can actually support raising large animals?
