On topic, the Saw movies seem pretty awful(Havent seen one). Cant believe it got up to 4. But just like Scream I would predict that will be one the last ones, iirc Saw 3 did pretty poorly at the box office. Actually, I think SAW is in Guinness for the movie with most sequels making more money than the previous one.

+ Show Spoiler + I thought that Jig Saw dead in part 3, and thus ending the trilogy. What I was thinking is, maybe he just had another douche bag pretend to be him for a while. I don't know, but I'm going to see the next movie anyways. 11 more days.

Why post that? As for the rest of the posts... my God man. If 'disliked' something why don't you back it up as to why. Note: the Saw series was never meant to be 'horror'... it is a suspense/thriller/torture movie. If you are looking for a cheap scare look elsewhere. It's a puzzle. Solve it. I was happy to work with such members of the cast and judging from other forums many people still haven't figured and are still trying to figure it all out. There are clues everywhere. Pay careful attention to the screen and you might pick up something. My friend's gf was the ADD for this one. She'll be one of the victims in the photos you see in the bureau. That's all I can say. And for those who like blood. Well, you are in for a treat.

Costas Mandylor has signed up for the next two installments in the horror franchise along with main character; Jigsaw, portrayed by Tobin Bell.[44] It was confirmed through multiple sources that David Hackl, the production designer for Saw II, Saw III and Saw IV and second unit director for Saw III and Saw IV has officially been attached to direct both Saw V and Saw VI.[4] The writers of Saw IV, Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, will be writing Saw V and Saw VI.

I can't wait for part 4, it'll probably be good like the others.

It did however, have a few parts where it resorted to ADD editing (the horror standby where the direction mashes up several shots very quickly and jarringly to create a "horrific" effect). I really dislike this way of adding tension, I think its an easy way out ofr a director who has no other plan (same reason I thought 28 days and 28 weeks later were both terrible). There was some of that in the first Saw, and the part where they were going through the Jigsaw's earlier killings I thought was useless and only marginally creative. In Saw II the director poured on ADD editing, reveled in the mindless setups and completely ignored charactarization and the intruiging tension that made the first one okay. I quit watching halfway through. I can only imagine Saw III was the same. I guess there's enough of a market for this shocksplative shlock for hollywood to keep making it (I fully expect to see 28 Months Later in summer 2008).

It was fairly well made, I'd say it's my 2nd favorite behind the original one.
