Pity, I was thinking of watching a few of the showmatches. I didn't watch much of Artosis and Tasteless in the end, as tbh, their games were a little boring. Anyway, hope the showmatches are good games and you get some good views.

Well I am sure there are going to be VODs. BasetradeTV who are casting and streaming it, they make VODs of all the things they are part of.
As for Tasteless and Artosis, well both of them are fairly new to Starbow and they are trying their best to play it as Broodwar when Starbow is only inspired by Broodwar but not a replica. But it is a good opportunity for viewers to learn about Starbow together with two of them as they seem to discuss things they discover and units and strategies they try to use.

Why was the Marauder removed?

Many reasons, but main reason I think was that they countered lurkers too well.
Also, they do not fit into the Starbow bio design principles.

Apologies for my inactivity of late in here, being a fan of the mod but being too busy to really commit to growing it is frustrating. Speaking of that, are most Starbow fans a bit older on average/having BW experiences or is it attracting disillusioned SC2 fans too?

I'd say it's a little of both. The top 5 players or so that I have seen play have at least a little BW experience. I know that the top three finishers from the last event were pretty regular BW players at one point or another.

I cant speak for him, but there was too high of a skill difference imo.

Patch for 13th of May Protoss:
- Zealot leg speed research time increased from 87 to 100
- Stalkers range reduced from 5 to 4.
- Disruption web area reduced from 2.1 to 1.8
- Carriers gained +1 range.
Terran:
- Reaper passive heal regeneration decreased from 2.0 to 1.5
- Ghost movement speed increased to 2.5
- Shock projectile starting speed increased from 0 to 4
- Shock affects friendly units.
- Matrix ability for medics energy cost reduced to from 50 to 35.
- Matrix ability research time reduced from 166 sec to 88 sec.
- Scan radius reduced from 11 to 10 (back to BW value, we had the wrong value).
Zerg:
- Spine crawlers now makes a tight wall.
- Tunnel research time for roaches reduced from 146 to 80.
Bugs
- Production tab icons fixed for parasitic domination and scout speed upgarde.
- Some tooltips fixed.
We are trying to make the ghost more useful, especially early game TvP without making bio too strong in TvZ. Please try out the ghost more now and let us know how it fairs.
Carrier range is just a pathetic compensation for micro not being as good as they were in BroodWar. We might play around with some acceleration values to make them more interesting to micro and having them always be mobile a positive thing.
Stalker range nerf is to further define them as a harassment unit and not a combat unit. Reaper regen nerf might help TvT to have more dynamic openings, or it may do nothing.
Matrix buff on medics is to compensate for lost hp with the removal of the marauder. This should add more hp to the bio in a more interesting and dynamic way.
The future
This patch was mostly devoted to Terran and Protoss. We are looking at some zerg units at the moment. Especially the baneling and the roach. We've changed the roach tunnel research time and that might be enough. We have some ideas for the baneling that we are currently testing and we'll get a testmap up as soon as we are satisfied with an initial concept.
