if you have dfhack you can try sort-units age; it's more likely to be an older dwarf

Just sort the therapist by migration wave, and work your way from the most recent wave to the first. Also, the starting 7 cannot be vampires. There's no way around this aside from watching your bedrooms constantly, hoping to catch the vampire in the act.

but after you find the guy, you can put him in a locked room or something (I actually built walls around my vampire once...!) and have him do some sort of menial job like "pulling levers" or digging (though he'll need a pick)... or being a manager/record keeper

But yeah, looking through 200 dwarves is nothing compared to trading a years worth of junk, or pasturing a fresh batch of 500 chickens.

And in the full description it said something about alcohol scarcity. She was a legendary axe lord so im just going to use her as meat shield when engaging enemies.

It always comes from a tantrum spiral due to various factors leading to unhappiness. I dont see how the gradual loss of control is considered "fun." What is fun to me is making an awesome fortress and having it survive a long time.

06/01/2014 Threetoe : It's almost here! After over two years in the making, we plan to release the next version of Dwarf Fortress in the beginning of July. We are very grateful to those that made it possible by supporting us financially all this time. Dwarf Fortress has become more than a game in the twelve years since we started. It is now a crazy art project that everyone can engage in! Whether it's creating the awesome mods, or helping newbies learn to play, everybody helps out. There are going to be a lot of bugs in the beginning so one major way to help out would be to contribute to the bug tracker. Dwarf Fortress would never have made it this far without such a strong community. Thanks to everyone on the Bay 12 forums and beyond for spreading the word. It's going to be a busy few months coming up so thank you again in advance for your patience and generosity! http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/index.html#2014-06-01
