liquidhearth.com
Today we're ready to unveil liquidhearth.com, our standalone Hearthstone website and newest member of the TeamLiquid family. LiquidHearth will be the home for our Hearthstone community and a sister site to TeamLiquid, offering news, forums, streams, calendar, and a Liquipedia branch the same way we do here. We will be approaching the new game with the same philosophy we have on TeamLiquid, by bringing high quality news and fostering a warm and welcoming community for anyone who wants to meet and interact with other Hearthstone fans.
Safe to say we're excited to be able to bring the Hearthstone section of our website to the next level and look forward to taking the trip with Hearthstone as it grows as a game and community.

When Hearthstone was first announced I admit I didn't really understand the move from Blizzard. I was quick to shrug it off, thinking "huh, a cardgame from Blizzard?", and didn't think much of it for a long time. Things changed immediately once the beta came out. As keys started rolling out, and more and more of our staff and TL readers started playing Hearthstone, it became clear that it was an incredibly engaging and popular game.
In fact, several members of our staff enjoyed Hearthstone so much that they wanted to do more than just play it. The same way many things develop on TL, simply with enough people showing an interest, we started fostering a Hearthstone community and developing content. Thanks to our dedicated staff, our Hearthstone forum has become an active place, full of great articles and high level discussion.
With Hearthstone being so different from the established esports games, we felt it that it was appopriate to step outside of TeamLiquid.net and start a new website entirely. We made a similar move a long time ago when poker became very popular on TeamLiquid.net's forums, moving our poker content over to www.liquidpoker.net. TeamLiquid.net is intended for users heavily into esports, and there is a lot we gain from this specialization. It allows us to put an incredible amount of content on one site – forums, news, streams, calendar, wiki, etc – something that would be difficult to do if we covered a large number of games. By giving Hearthstone its own website, it lets TeamLiquid.net keep its focus on covering established esports titles like SC2/Dota2/BW. Hearthstone is better served as well, as we can give it a dedicated site that better fits its unique gameplay and community. That's not to say that Hearthstone can't be an esport on the scale of other games: there is unquestionably a deeply competitive aspect to the game which means the potential is there. By giving Hearthstone its own site, we can can do a better job helping it realize that potential.
A crucial part in all of this has been monk. He previously brought us the TL Strategy section for StarCraft 2, and he has brought his passion for competition and analyzing high level play to his new post as Hearthstone head editor. He also became a world class player, who not too long ago flew to Germany to play in the ESGN Fight Night tournament. It would have been impossible to run a website like this without the right personnel, and monk makes LiquidHearth possible.
You will be able to login on LiquidHearth.com with your TeamLiquid.net accounts. Functionality will largely be the same as on TL. Our moderation standards will be similar to those on TL and we hope to create a similar culture and atmosphere of a community that enjoys participating and contributing. And of course, we're confident that we'll be able to bring you the same quality of Hearthstone coverage that you've come to expect from TeamLiquid.net.

Some of you might know me as that player in the blue shirt from ESGN Fight Nights. Others might know me for my Starcraft II background. Or more likely you don't know me at all, in which case you can find out more about me here.
I started covering Hearthstone back in September, back when the game was still in its infancy. Slowly, I began gathering a players and writers to fill up our rather lonely Hearthstone forum. (You may know many of these player/writers as the members of the Liquid Value team today.) But as our Hearthstone staff grew in number and our articles grew more frequent, it became painfully obvious that a single Teamliquid forum could not support what we had set out to do. As much praise I got of the quality of our articles, I got an equal amount of criticism on how difficult it was to find our content.
I am thus very pleased to share with you the news of this new sister site, which allows us to showcase our content to as many readers as possible. I'm excited that we can now provide our news and coverage a proper and deserving home. I'm excited that with this new site, we'll be able to grow our Hearthstone community even more. And I'm especially excited of what the future holds for both LiquidHearth and Hearthstone as a whole. Please cheer for us and in return, we'll attempt to bring you some of the best Hearthstone coverage and content you've seen yet.

With the launch of the site, we will also be launching our Hearthstone wiki. As always, our goals are to focus on competitive play and archive the history of a game. We look forward to recording the history of players and events in Hearthstone as they happen. If you're interested in learning more about the game, go take a look. If you're thinking about contributing, feel more than free to take a look as well. Major thanks to all of the staff and wiki contributors that have made this possible.
