I realized though what better thing to do than a kid blog! ('Cuz I know you're all totes interested.)
It'll be short, but I suppose I have to mention that my son turned 1 today (My birthday is tomorrow/in a couple days depending on which website clock you look at , but it no longer feels relevant considering the proximity and my overall age). My wife seems to think that the year just flew by, but to me it was the longest year of my life. I can't honestly believe he was born just last year because I literally (proper use of the word here) can't properly capture the feeling of what life used to be like before we had him.
I've had the past week or so off now that I'm done exams and I think I've spent more quality time with him than I have over the past 3 months or so. I'm honestly really loving it. He is an absolute joy and my favourite person in the world. He's slowly developing into an actual person. He points at things he wants, he is extremely active and agile, and he just....knows things. I don't know how he does it. He pushes all of his cars and trucks around while making brrrrr vehicle-type noises, and I have no idea where he learned to do that. He found a little toy trumpet that toots when you blow into it, and he thinks it's the funniest thing in the world. He recently learned that the phone isn't just for pressing all the buttons and watching it light up, he somehow learned that you put it up to your ear and say 'Hi,' which is probably one of the greatest things I've ever witnessed.
It's the little things that constantly get me, I guess.

Happy Birthday, little man. Can't wait for the next episode.
I think I may actually start kid blogging more often as he gets older and there's more to write about.
