Balance whine ends now (2:03 KST). Bans will be issued (I can't believe we have to do this again...) |

Jjakji also did it in the afternoon in Korean time...

How times change...
Anyway, congratulations to Vortix and Showtime! HotS beta: Speedyvacs. HotS release: Skillbat drops (and they were not even THAT OP). Warp Prism + appearance of First vs Fantasy (seriously, it almost felt like tosses suddenly got good in PvT after this series). Hellbat nerf: Well, we see it now. Hellbat nerf was entirely justified. TvT was a fucking horrid joke when they were around. You don't fix a MIRROR matchup by nerfing. Nerfing usually = no one builds it anymore and we see how you see P rely on mass zealots again and terran having a hard time dealing with it. Hellbat DROPS are drops afterall hellbats themselves were not broken tvt, if they would just make mines 1 hit medivacs mine opener would counter hellbat drop opener. But blizz prefers to nerf to balance instead of buffing. Sure you can fix a mirror by nerfing. If the mirror is all about who can build more of a single unit, then obviously that unit is too strong and needs to be nerfed.
When there is one unit that's overpowered, nerfing is the right thing to do. Buffing is the wrong thing.

Wowwwwwww...
RIP Mvp... =(
Grats VortiX and ShoWTimE! Most people have no clue, but I'd like to point out that ShoWTimE has been one of the stronger European online heroes these last few months, particularly in June and July. link

Congrats to Showtime for the double upset and for advancing!
|
GG, are there VODs of the matches out already? if yes, thanks for a link!
|
Congratz for Showtime, but I don't like when players advance only because they are great at one matchup...

|
Nicely done by Vortix. I'll check out the VODs later.

I guess this is what happens when I decide not to watch WCS and go out with a girl... I won't make this mistake again! Btw, why is there no polls with recommended games?

In Season 1, MVP lost to Dimaga 0-2 during the online portion, then wins 3-0 over him in the live finals.
Combine the KR to EU lag with what has always been MVP's weakest matchup and it makes for sad times.
Someone needs to get on that faster-than-light neutrinos or quantum teleportation or something to fix this lag issue already.

Yeah I wonder how many people remember Adelscott vs Mvp @ TSL3 Ro32... :/
As for the lag, well, making the league entirely offline would alleviate that issue. We'll have to see what Blizzard have in store.

If he cared that much about WCS he would travel to EU and play his Ro32 there, since he doesnt, lag is something ppl cant blame it on.

We'll have to see what Blizzard have in store. I remember it clearly. I saw a korean progamer (or even a progamer, it just can't really happen at that stage of the game in normal playing conditions) getting his reaper surrounded by probes on metalopolis (99% sure that it was because of lag) and then decided to stop watching because the matches inter server would be a farce.

Congrats Vortix & Showtime, great job and good luck.
Sorry I couldn't watch it live
