I borrowed BF3 premium from a friend of mine and I felt the expansions were pretty lackluster. Some of them are pretty good, some just felt redundant or pointless.
I also want to play with some poeple ): add me

I've had the same experience as you Torte, the expansion maps are just not as fun. I blame the players -- it seems there are a lot more vehicle ramming, name calling, C4 abusing, team killing CoD faggots that play the expansion.
So I just play the base game but I like having the expansion guns. Close quarters "gun game" is also pretty fun because it's like CS's gun game.

I enjoy scavenger a fair bit. I'm iffy about BF4 because of BF3, it's not that effect that you wish games played and felt that coordinated, but in reality, always fall apart and its just quick kills, no tactics ):

I thought EA did a surprisingly good job at keeping BF3 alive and interesting. Some of the expansions weren't my cup of tea (specifically Close Quarters), but overall they were surprisingly diverse and engaging.

Granted, I only played a bit, but playing Back to Karkland was good. Armored Core seemed pointless and I can't figure out the difference between Aftermath and End Game.
Do you think BF4 will offer something more communicative base?

I think by re-adding the "commander" to the game as BF2 had, Dice is trying to get a more team-focused game going by reinforcing the chain of command.
If any of you played BF2 or Natural Selection, you know the commander is a very important role and getting a troll commander means you get an awful game. I think the same crap will plague BF4 if not even worse -- I'm not touching that game until it's several months old and all the problems are worked out.

I play a bit of Natural Selection, the commander mode in BF4 wasn't very clear to me though. Like how it works via an iPad and how much influence do they have beyond using missiles and stuff

Still not worth giving EA any money. I'll get it when it's free.

I haven't touched my BF3 in months. I think I managed to log around 100 hours or so before I stopped lol.
I am bad though and was only starting to get 1:1 K:D when I stopped. I think I got bored of it around Amored Kill's release.
Back to Karkand maps were pretty fun though. CQ got kinda cheesy. And I never really tried out Aftermath and End Game now that I think about it.
