Zerg syndrome just mass one unit against a combination. Though Phoenix are basically buffed so strongly that they can rip through mutas and corruptors. Just need the bad Voidrays to take care of the spores and tank. Quiet scary that the best Zerg anti air is the Queen.
Congrats Alicia nevertheless ! And Europe holds in NA as well haha.

Glad Alicia advanced, surprised that Neatea did not punish him for the play

Sad day of WCS AM Premier =(

Beautiful Void Ray micro. :p

LOL people hating on Alicia doing the same build when NesTea did exactly the same build in both games...

nestea and sen lost..worst day ever

Yes, we all know corrupters suck vs voids in hots. Thats not up for debate.
But you make it sound as if the void ray was designed to counter corrupters. They changed the void ray charge ability because it was "too random" according to David Kim.
They end up giving it a charge ability that happens to melt through the most sensible answer to voids that zergs have.

Most sensible? Really? Try Hydra/Queen/Infestor, that should work far better than Corruptors

Absolutely the same tables applied in WoL - bonus vs armored, and VR as counter to corruptor listed by Blizz since SC2 beta.
The main difference is in WoL Broodlords were so important that people massed so many corruptors (with good reason) that Protoss would not have as good reason to mass Void Rays on a similiar scale. And of course, more stuff beats less stuff, even when it goes against the basic unit design.

Nestea is a more popular player than Alicia, it shouldn't be a surprise that many people aren't happy

Nestea was just having this terrible nightmare where he was playing RO16 and kept trying to build corruptors against mass void ray.

It's also an entertainment factor — Nestea, even though his builds are pretty similar, is a fun player to watch. He does wacky things and fights back from crazy deficits. Alicia's build, while certainly solid and strong, is just not that fun to watch. Massing an air army and A-moving out just doesn't do it for me.

Personally I expect the void ray's bonus vs. armored to be toned down at some point, but Nestea's decision to go corruptors was terrible. The mixed air in the second game was better, but zerg's air just isn't efficient enough to take down a skytoss death ball, it would seem. He probably could've gotten better results trying to hit some good fungals.

I think some of the hate should be redirected from Alicia and into constructive ways on adjusting void rays as a unit. You can't hate on the man for making them the way they currently are within the game.

There shouldn't be any hate directed at anybody or any unit. That's ridiculous. Anyone who is using today's matches as an example of balance is looking at way too small of a sample size. It wasn't like Nestea played amazingly, he made several critical mistakes, while Alicia is pretty experienced with this style.

It may work better, but force fields wreck hydra comps.
