Big changes like he's been implementing take time to kick in. Is there a Proleague "offseason"? I feel like this is what EG-TL needs, so they can really buckle down and practice hard without the stress of having to win for a while. It's no real different from any sports team who goes through a big coaching and system change, it doesn't get better after only a month or two.

The thing is, in the case of Mvp, he wasn't that dominant against other terrans (including Taeja and aLive) but he was versus zergs and to a lesser extent versus protoss, hence the nerf. For Innovation he looks too good against all, so it's harder to say the race is OP.

He was thought to be nearly unstoppable in TvT during his prime where he had a crazy 14 game win streak of something.

MVP was historically meant to be (relatively) weak vs Protoss and relied on his set preparation a lot against that race. Some of his early GSLs came in the most Terran-heavy periods as well so don't underestimate his chops in the mirror. His use of ghosts got them nerfed sadly (I miss that sight), but that was a curious nerf tbh, it hadn't really caught on as play you would see all the time (i.e late WoL BL/Infestor) and was hard to transition to as well.

He took people like Clide, Bomber, MKP, MMA, etc to town so very often during his best days. I'd say his rivalry was with Nestea, a zerg. But he was the favourite against every race. Only MMA had a good chance against him during MMA's very best period.
