You took your team to victory. How do you feel?
RagnaroK: I was only aiming for one kill, but I somehow ended up getting three (laughs). I feel great.
Ruin: I felt that I should just play comfortably since it would be all right if I lost, but when I actually won, I felt really good (laughs).
You were sent out as LG-IM's opener for the first time after entering the team. Didn't you feel any pressure?
RagnaroK: I didn't feel pressured since my map was Zerg-favored. I felt that I needed to show a good performance once I joined IM, so I even called up Terrans whom I didn't know too well from other teams in order to practice.
You played your debut match today, and you looked a bit nervous on camera.
Ruin: I'm very glad that I won my debut match. From the start up until the midgame, my hands were shaking, my heart was beating hard, and I made a lot of mistakes that cost me units. But towards the end, I shook off my nerves, which let me show my skills.
We've heard that LG-IM has been transitioning to Heart of the Swarm rather late. How did you prepare for today's match?
RagnaroK: I prepared for HotS as soon as the qualifiers were over. I started playing HotS back when I was in TSL, so I adapted easily.
Ruin: I finished once I was knocked out of the qualifiers. For a while, I couldn't get a feeling for the game because of all of the new things, but I started to understand after losing a bunch of times. I think that HotS is a good opportunity for me.
During the first and second sets, you made impressive use of Vipers. But instead of using Consume on Evolution Chambers, you used it on your Hive or Hatcheries.
RagnaroK: There wasn't any special reason for it; my Hive and Hatcheries just happened to be nearby and had high HP. If I had time, I would have made Evolution Chambers, but I used my Hive and Hatcheries because I didn't.
In Heart of the Swarm, Zergs are having trouble macroing all the way up to Vipers.
RagnaroK: When practicing, I was very stressed because of how powerful Widow Mines and Reapers were. But as I played, I found that Vipers were very strong against Marine-Siege Tank armies and focused on macroing up to them during practice.
You recovered from a disadvantage to beat Miya in the third set.
RagnaroK: After I saw his low Drone count through Overlord scouting, I anticipated an all-in. Since Hydralisk speed hadn't been upgraded for him yet, I thought that I would definitely win in a Roach-Hydralisk battle. Even during practice, Hydralisks without the speed upgrade would lag behind, which lowers army DPS during engagements.
You let MMA make a comeback and defeat you during your match against him.
RagnaroK: I was able to focus well up to the mid-game, but lost my concentration after losing my Mutalisks, Zerglings, and Banelings. I even spawned eight Vipers when I had only intended to make four. I also gradually got worn down due to MMA's good use of bridge terrain.
You gradually wore down MMA through harassment to take the win. What do you think was your driving force to your victory?
Ruin: I started to think that I shouldn't just let myself get dragged around by a Terran and lose my debut match. After that, I decided that this was my turn to attack and and began to focus.
Are you confident about the Heart of the Swarm individual leagues?
RagnaroK: I'm confident.
Ruin: I think that Heart of the Swarm is better than Wings of Liberty. It's good that players are starting from an equal level due to all of the new features and many patches.
Many Zergs are having trouble because they aren't able to find solutions [against other races].
RagnaroK: I'm finding answers through steady practice. Even though I was very stressed about ZvT, I feel like I can manage after doing some research. But I don't think there's an answer to the ZvP lategame yet, and I'm talking with my Zerg hyungs to look for some solutions. Currently, we have one method complete and are continuing to search for more.
Your next opponent will be NSHoSeo. Do you feel confident?
RagnaroK: Even though our match is right tomorrow, I don't think we're at a disadvantage. Our team is stronger, so I think we can manage to win.
Ruin: I think that our team is stronger in every matchup. NSHoSeo may not be an easy opponent, but I feel that we can win.
Do you have any last words?
RagnaroK: I'm happy that I was able to show some results for the first time since I moved to from TSL to IM. I hope that Zerg players work hard to look for solutions. True-hyung and ByuL-hyung do really well during practice, so I think that they're the true top players. If NSHoSeo only keeps their attention on me, the team might end up suffering for it. Maru helped me despite not feeling well, so I'm very thankful to him. I haven't had many friends, so I want to send my thanks to SuperNova for not hesitating to help me with practice. The build I used in the first set was HyuN's; I wasn't able to use it in Wings of Liberty, but I managed to use it in Heart of the Swarm. I'm thankful to HyuN-hyung, too.
Ruin: I'm want to thank Absolute, who plays Terran. Even though we practiced until dawn, he hid that he was tired and stayed to help me to the end.
