This isn't all kill format, if you change the order you send out your players, and keep the scores the same, you still lose 4-2 instead of 4-0. You are better off sending players out on the maps that suit them the best, and you have no control over the map order itself. You can't pick your line up expecting all your players to lose, and then say, o well it's better to lose 4-2 than 4-0. No, you expect your players to win and you will send players on the maps that gives them the best chance to win.

They always try not to play a player who's playing an important match soon. Life didn't play anything before his GSL finals except when they had to send him out as their ace in IPTL I think
There's at least as much hype behind Stephano in Code S so I get why he doesn't want to play
