I would be strange for me because ever since NMM XXX, I never had to ask myself too much about your alignment, because either I was mafia, either you were obvious Claritown, sometimes both I would enjoy to see your scum game ^^

I hope I just roll town until the end of time, to be honest.

In the mayoral election the Sheriff is the one who comes second... Whats the election mechanic? There are many possible, many are cumbersome. is it like double lynches and you get two votes on two people. or will the Mayor wagon getting buckets of votes mean the Sheriff second place wagon is decide by the few left overs?
That kind changes things and id like to be able think about things first.
|
I'm fairly sure it's one election, and whoever get's the second most votes becomes sheriff.
|
yeah it usually is the exact same thing as a lynch vote, just that the person comming in first will become mayor and the one comming in second will become the sheriff.
Unless of course BC has something else prepared but that's how it's usually done.
|
Well hopefully this game goes better than LVIII... And hopefully I will be voted Mayor cause having special powers is cool.

I'm not sure if I want to play in this yet or not.
If I don't sign up for another Mini before this starts, I will play in this.

Why was he modkilled? I wanted him to show us his Keynesian analysis of the momentum of the Prius force determined by the Cornoullie principle applied to inter-social relationships in an informed minority game!

I am maybe missing something, but:
What possible incentive is there for mafia to NOT snag both bodyguard roles (other than them all being godfather)?
1. If scum gets elected to either mayor or sheriff, making them unkillable is awesome. 2. If town gets elected to both roles you take away all the possibility of town making them unkillable. 3. Rolechecks get neutralized for framer and roleblocker (jack and mason are neutral already)
I see no downside, which makes the bodyguard mechanic pointless at best and mafia-favoured at worst. Seems really strange.

Both of the elected roles know who the bodyguards are, so if one of them dies before the bodyguards are dead, the surviving one will know that the remaining bodyguard(s) is mafia. If someone who is actually a threat gets elected, it's probably always worthwhile to substitute one of the bodyguards though.
I suppose the mayor and sheriff will have to, by day 2, decide whether they can trust the bodyguards enough not to out one or both before the day post, in case mafia opted to substitute both.
e: there's a bit more strategy to this and actually substituting even a single bodyguard can be pretty risky
|
Was about to say that: if mafia can kill both elected roles on N1, then that doesn't help, unless they are outed in the thread immediately.
Well, I guess I can see some interesting scenarios with this. Not sure I want to /in or /obs, though...
