The Chinese invitation seed of upcoming IEM Singapore, team Invictus Gaming's XluoS, will not be attending this event. ESL only gave XluoS and his team two days to handle their visa to Singapore, while at least three days are required. His seed will be delayed to IEM Poland in January.
Conversation with iG's head coach Edison (translated, will post shot if needed):
Me 0:09:55 He is in the group with Tarrantius and Whitera for IEM. iGEdison 0:10:17 IEM Singapore? We are not going. Me 0:10:28 Not going? iGEdison 0:10:28 They only gave us two days to handle our visa. What the hell can we do? Me 0:10:34 ... iGEdison 0:10:34 We need at least three days. iGEdison 0:10:41 They said his seed will remain effective till Poland Me 0:11:05 Poland? iGEdison 0:11:09 Yeah Poland. We don't know the details yet. End of January He won't be playing in NSL then so it's fine. In addition to XluoS, KiLLeR, Miya and Sniper have dropped out IEM Singapore as well.
IEM Season VII - Global Challenge Singapore shows the current player pool still going.

My money is on VortiX, but wow, what a huge amount of dropouts they've had. Hope they can somehow find some more backups because it's going to be a real shame having zero terrans in a tournament (barring some open bracket surprises?)

Always wondered how people just drops out of events just before it starts. Is it like they doesn't know right until right before they won't be able to go?

lol nobody. is a good thing because hardly people will watch sc2 in singapore anyway.

I'm confused by this.. XluoS has been pegged as the Chinese representative for a while now, pretty sure we didn't give him 2 days to get visa sorted out if we knew further than that, in advance, that he was in group stage.

I will root for White Ra.

this event will be so uninteresting until the playoffs
so sad about it, cause i really like the caster lineup and overall i like the IEM events :/
|
They should redraw the groups this is. Nuts

crap this IEM Singapore seems so unlucky, so many players canceling their participation. Moreover Dreamhack will be played during the same days. If games are not epic the event may be a fail ;(. Hope IEM Katowice (Poland) will make up for it

This tournament is a disaster so far.

Visa to Singapore is one of the hardest to get in the world if you are not living in the US/EU. Don't know why IEM decides to host this event in Singapore.

The coach told me XluoS just arrived at iG team house today and is not going anywhere for a while, I think it's more a ESL China's problem?

Ah, a shame. Why not Miya i wonder? A shame Sniper isn't going too, but I understand his case.

They released the group on 14th November, 1 week before the event. In a day and age where information is sent in a couple of clicks, I would've expected professional teams and organizers to be more quick on their toes about what they're doing.

Why have like 8-9 players dropped out now. It's a bit crazy!

is there a Terran with terrible TvT, but great TvP and TvZ? he should go to this event^^
