So anyway, we went camping as bf and gf and came back as fiancés. And she bought me a kick ass watch, too.
But okay, that's the big news, but what's more important is how AMAZING camping food is. Cooking on an open fire on a slab of rusty, unclean iron. I never eat burgers anymore but among other things, we made bacon cheeseburgers, with the ridiculously overpriced, by incredible tasting, pepper bacon and organic ground beef (she mixed it up with an egg and black pepper). And I buttered the buns and toasted them on the grill. And of course, thick slices of sharp cheddar cheese to top it off. Mine was double-slathered with Jack Daniel's barbeque sauce, she went for the mayo-ketchup combo. Also, we fire roasted corn on the cob.
I mean, we did other stuff, hiked and junk, beautiful nature yadda yadda, but have I mentioned the food?!?!

yup @ camping food. The raw amount of heat brings out the full flavour. I was wtf surprised when a can of soup tasted too good. Try foil wrapped vegetables (potatoes yams) in addition to ur corn. It is definitely worth eating campfire food
