The first video is already up and it covers the foundations of CS, aiming and what to think as a beginner. One technical correction here: Crouching does not reduce recoil, only base spread. Hence there's little advantage to crouching except for reducing your target size and long-range accuracy. It doesn't improve accurate fire-rate or spray control. You also didn't make it clear that you don't stop instantly unless you counter-move. Beginners don't tend to know that and it's critical for strafe-bursting. Otherwise generally good stuff. There are not enough teaching videos for CS, and there's a lot to teach. I'd recommend that beginners at least try out the dynamic crosshair because it makes the effect of movement on accuracy clearer. Eventually a static crosshair may be better for running corners. Note that the inner gap of the crosshair is a good representation of the weapon's spread. Also there's a guy on YouTube called HattonGames who does very detailed sessions on weapons amongst other things, so you guys should check him out. Hatton keeps pushing that 2-3 burst shots "bang on target" myth. It's wrong for two reasons: Firstly, even the first shot is rarely bang on target due to the base weapon spread. Secondly, in CSGO, the following 2-3 shots, while relatively close to the first, have a strong directional pattern. Probably the most important result is that at longer ranges, bursting directly at the head is wasteful because if your aim is any good, only the first shot will have any chance of hitting.

1) Is the strafing part before the long jump to the side only (let go of W qnd press A or D only) or diagonal (keep pressing W and add A or D on top of it)? I guess it's diagonal because it seems to be even more impossible otherwise but I'd like to be sure. 2) Does crouching in mid-air help landing higher/further?

1) If you look at the video he moves diagonal so the latter (go double check the video to make sure) 2) I've heard that crouching at certain times give you a speed boost.. or it at least did in previous CS games (this one i'm not 100% sure on) edit: I think I just figured out the long jump..If you're doing the first one he shows (with the shooting the ground) (people correct me if i'm wrong) Just like he says in the video, hold W then add D then jump and turn your crosshair to the right, keep holding W and D, you should go pretty far.

All I had to do was lower the resolution to the lowest possible, even if it wasn't native, and it works really fast. The text does kind of look blurry, and pixelly, but it looks fine, just like source or 1.6, and the text is kind of like brood war, and it doesn't matter to me, since it's lag free and I'm more interested in gameplay... Finally I got MVP's and positive KD ratios, and got at least over 20 fps...

Edit: That's just an observation; I'm terrible but the game looks like it's played completely differently. Apparently NiP have some games coming up so I'll see if I can compare/contrast.

The pub games I see them play on their stream are full of guys from different teams. All of them, not even just the NiP guys, play in a different way than how these games went. People seem to take different angles, use different guns, and burst differently. The firefights seem a lot shorter when they're both out in the open and it's a lot more playing corners.

To be honest, I think these are just amateur teams compared to NiP. Games were quite disappointing. Not at a level that I was expecting. =/
