I’m Zerg in yellow at the top and he’s the orange Protoss at the left. I think he was from Sweden. If not, he was definitely from somewhere else.
Anyway, right off the hop he has a colour advantage but I feel like I can overcome it. But it will be difficult, so solely because of my unfortunate colour situation, I open 9 Pool speed.
This Battle Report also serves as a tutorial. Note the importance of the Pool and Extractor to the 9 Pool speed opening.
I find with my Overlord that he has a Forge and Gateway in his main, only making his second pylon out in his natural. Since this isn’t what Protosses do in the replays I watched, I got confused and frightened and began gently weeping.
”But but but … That’s not what Bisu does “
My 6 lings get to his base just as his cannon is finishing. It is accompanied by a Zealot and 4 Probes so I can’t stop crying just yet.
Example of pretty obvious Probe imbalance if you ask me. (oh pretty pretty please ask me, it would mean so much!)
I pull back but its not long before he decides to take his first few zealots along with 4 probes to come attack me.
Because, I mean, why wouldn’t you do that. Right?
I manage to win the battle pretty handily and kill his cannon but only a few lings remain standing, I’m out of things to do. Meanwhile
Oh no! An army composed of actual fighting units!
I didn’t have enough units to kill them at the time so I had to consult my “Handbook for Cheesers Who Accidently Made it Past 5 Minutes.” I know it’s a bit of a long winded title, but hey I’m not the one who wrote it (was Shine, probably). The Handbook told me to counterattack, so I did.
I drew little puppy dog eyes on the cover of the book that I just cant say no to.
I force a cancel on his Nexus and kill the things in the natural but can’t get much done in the main. Likewise, he kills a drone or two and stops some mining time but gets cleaned up eventually. Meanwhile, I’ve gotten a Lair up, researching Overlord speed because Corsairs are out, and have a Hydra Den ready to go. I’m all set to go into the mid game at what I suspect is an advantage.
Nope, that’s not 951 minerals up there. Don’t be silly.
Anyways, as anyone who has read past D Level Adventures might expect, I just totally lied. I’ve made a bunch of Hydras and Lings and started work on bashing down his front. With three cannons up, I dont meet a ton of initial success.
My strategy is to hope he’s squeamish and has to stop to clean up the blood and dead raccoon.
Fortunately, I have studied the games of my idol Shine quite extensively and know that if I keep hitting H, I can win eventually. I do that.
Thanks Shine!
I get up into his main, he types out right away, and I giggle naughtily for a minute.
He was probably just jealous of my over 900 minerals and went to go pawn off his big diamond pylon.

There you have it! My bullshit brilliance ultimately manages to prevail and the villain hero wins, as he should!
