Hope I'm still invited from time-to-time!
Nonetheless, thanks a lot for your help and you were a true hero. It was awesome and a good run, gotta sit down with Roch, Charles and everyone and really kickstart Montreal's BarCraft again.

To be honest with you guys many have been threated poorly and this is unacceptable to me. I am extremly pissed off at many things that have happen today against my will. As mentioned to a few who had expected to receive a t-shirt with the GM ticket I will not forget you, please send me an email at marko@1234montreal.com with the mention '' BarCraft T-Shirt '' and I will do my best with the to make it back to you in a near future. It doesn't always workout like we wish to in this frisky eSports business that is growing, last BarCraft we've had more then 12 boxes of stuff to giveaway and for this time it was reduced to 1 for the GM Lair. BarCraft Montreal is moving in the interest of the people and for our community. Wherever we'll be, fun we will have. I all deeply love you. Fighting, eSports ~ .....What a fuckin trooper. thanks for all the hours you put in this man i'd be glad to help in anyway but not sure how i can lol i'd like to say that all the previous barcraft were top notch and and im gonna miss 1234.maybe we can stay there for winter and spring when *queue de cheval* is not open but if you want to move you must have other and better reasons.Altough this dosent mean this barcraft was bad ! i mean had had quite a lot fo fun!! ,yhea there was a few sketchy things like the do not go out part and feel like the fifth wheel of the luggage a bit there lol but meh things dot always go as planned .Has for drinks being pricey maybe its the no SC drinks that made that show more, maybe im wrong but i think my double rhum were same price ... must admit the 2 uppercut for 21 $ was a bit surprising haha (even teh barmaid was shocked haha ).but for some reason i just didint had that* what a great night that was* feeling i ahd in previous barcraft mtl.Anyway if your willing to move to another venue that you dont actally run and probably put a lot omre issue that's just showing such class, anyway just want to tell you marko that i and a lot of people appreciate what you do for us, so much dedication ,anyway keep it up man we're with you and you ahve my blind trust !lol. c ya for fall championship nerds !! edit -btw i was in the gm lair once again and dont bother sending me t shirts i got plenty of t shirts already and keep the energy for another barcraft

I don't want to retire from the scene so I will be around for the future BarCrafts that will take place in Montreal. I know many nightclubs, bars and pub owners, many will be extremely excited. And guess what I guess it's good news, smaller venues means more BarCrafts. We'll be able to open for GSL Finales, IPLs, NASLs, MLGs, BLIZZCON in October, and more. We've to keep up with this great community we have the chance to have in MTL.

To all eSports fans: "We have heard you!" My name is Roch Turgeon, I am the CEO of CyberActiv Productions Inc. the people who handle sponsorship and technical production of BarCraft Montreal. We are not managing the event nor are we selling tickets to that event. Before I start, I would like to first give thanks to Paul and Corey of MICROBYTES.COM and to all of their Partners: Intel, Cooler Master, Razer and Kingston Memory. Microbytes has gone beyond the call of duty by providing financial help for equipment rentals and providing incredible prizes for all BarCraft attendees. Thanks must also be given to Yann of Techni-productions.com and of course all of the attendees. I cannot make any official statements regarding ticket price, free drinks or food since we are not the managers of BarCraft Montreal. I will however express my support to both the event manager, Marko, and the attendees who felt disappointed with the last installment of BarCraft Montreal. As many of you regular patrons of BCMTL have noticed, Club 1234 has made some changes to the layout of the venue as well as to their business model. The newly opened restaurant "La Queue de Cheval" which caters to the "way up there I am willing to pay $200 for a steak and $500 for a bottle of French wine" clientele. Have changed the playing field quite a bit. Let's just say for the moment that a high energy gaming event crowd does not mix very well with the Lamborghini driving edge fund manager crowd. This change in business model makes Club 1234 a much less suitable place for holding a BarCraft event. Club 1234 is going for the rich and famous crowd, it is probably a good business decision for them and I support it but it also mean that we should be looking for another venue right now. This Sunday morning we could feel a change in attitude coming from the Club's staff. The restaurant people had priority over everything and we felt somehow like we were unwelcome. Conflicts arose early and Marko did its best to smooth things out between us and "them". Some of you who are aware of the stereotype of the French chef who is always in a bad mood and chases people out of his kitchen wielding a kitchen knife... And you thought that this was fiction... Well apart for the knife thing, all the rest is true. It was very difficult to deal with the restaurant staff, they were inflexible and definitely not willing to compromise. It was obvious that the restaurant staff and management (who are different from the Club 1234 management) were very unhappy about our presence on the premises. I can understand that they also need to run their business and that they do not see a bunch a gamers as potential customers they should pay attention but... On the other hand we also did rent this place and were shocked at all the restrictions that were suddenly imposed over us... So the bottom line is that the presence of the high end restaurant at Club 1234 has turned the venue into a very bad place to hold a BarCraft. Concerning the t-shirt issue. I was told that Marko expected to receive the t-shirts from the sponsor of the Grand Master lair and that unfortunately he did not get the expected t-shirts. Who's fault is it? I really don't know the answer to that since CyberActiv in not involved with that particular part of the event. Concerning the price of drinks: Once again, this was a decision made by the management of Club 1234. We usually enjoy special prices during BarCraft Montreal but it would seem like Club 1234 has decided otherwise. We were not given prior notice in the change in policy of the Club and were equally unhappy about the price of the drinks. About the free drinks: We have been asked many question by the attendees about that one. Usually, everyone with a drink token only has to walk up to the bar to get a free drink in exchange for their token. This time, for reasons that are unclear, the Club would not honor their own tokens. Miss-communication? Change in policy? We are yet to get a definitive answer from the Club managers. As weird as it may seem to some of you, CyberActiv volunteers its staff, time, energy and equipment to BarCraft Montreal. We do it in order to help keep costs down while maintaining high standards which have made BarCraft Montreal the largest and most exciting event of its type in the World. Because we do it for free, our reward comes from the satisfaction of our attendees and on this very particular point, we are as disappointed as many of you are and maybe a little more. Because the event did not turn out as we thought it should; CyberActiv will, from today, work with Marko to become more involved with the management of BarCRaft Montreal and we will help Marko in making sure that the next BarCraft will delight the attendees. We are begining our search for a more suitable venue to hold the next BarCraft. We want to bring BarCraft Montreal back up to the standard we have set for ourselves and we will be working very hard to ensure the success of the next event. CyberActiv is a company that comes from the gaming community. We have held non-profit LAN parties (31 in my case), some of us had game review blogs, were game casters, worked in game centers or were aspiring pro players... We all play video games (I started with Counter-Strike 1.3) and are very passionate about eSports. Proud members of the gaming community, we want to turn to you, gamers and eSport fans, and ask you for your help and involvement in reshaping what will be know as the "REBIRTH of BarCraft Montreal", an event that the gamers themselves have contributed to build. The slate is clean, all options are open! Give us your input, tell us what your expectations are and help us find a new venue that will offer the services that you are expecting! With your help, the NEW BARCRAFT MONTREAL will rise to new heights! Thank you for understanding and thank you for supporting our efforts and our desire to bring even more great events to the gaming community!
