"stephano....!!!!!!"
- Jaedong
late game revolves around baby-sitting a bunch of excruciatingly slow, floating targets that have the durability of Indian automobiles, whose only redeeming quality is their ability to hurl annoying little bugs a reasonably far distance
Best thing I've read all day.

Jaedong, DRG, MVP, Yugioh and Creator will take their matches, count on it!

Prediction: Effort 2 – 1 DongRaeGu.
So brave, lol.

The header is correct. It was day 2 of round 2 in the winner's bracket. Check Gom's website. Also, this would be the Ro16, not 32.
Edit: Of course, unless they changed it from that.

Odd isn't it that people are basically calling DRG in a slump because he lost 0-3 to MC and in GSTL vs Leenock. drg has also lost to polt, hero and creator, not just mc/leenock. it's pretty much straight losses for a while =/
Creator has had DRG's number for a while. Polt beat DRG back during one of the MLG Arenas. Hero just has good PvZ in general.
If you cite his 0-4 record against TSLRevival in the TSL4 qualifiers, then the slump theory would be more valid.

According to some betting sites, DongRaeGu is over a 1:3 favorite to beat Effort.
Which ones??? I only know Pinnacle who has Sc2 bets, are there more?

Sorry I checked TLPD and it appears WCS results and a bunch of other games aren't represented there (forgot about WCG also).
And you can't really cite Revival's wins vs DRG since they happened even before the majority of the last season of GSL and the start of OSL, during which he still looked good and sounded confident. That said as I look through the record he never looked 'dominant' during that GSL with the 3-2 v Naniwa, 2-1 nestea, 2-1 ryung, 2-1 Maru and 2-1. None of them bad players, but a lot of close scores.
Still. DRG's slump is probably still another player's dream run. I'm still heartbroken DRG couldn't play in DRG though =(

Predicting a loss of Dongraegu?
Your lack of faith is disturbing. *Gripe*

What's this elite four of Aiur? Hero, Genius, and Puzzle have put up better results than Parting, with a lot less talk, too. Including San and Creator, they're all higher on TLPD right now, too. I'd almost put Alicia over Parting due to his recent three silvers, but his Korea TLPD is quite low.
I picked Jaedong, too, but it's mostly out of distant fanboyism. DRG to lose is sad and I hope you're wrong. He's still the best zerg, not Symbol, Leenock, or the master of the universe, or that American player with the hair-do.
Please win Mvp.

Badass writeup, can't wait to see these matches.

You know, I think Roro and Reality are really nailing the coffin shut on the whole Elephant idea. As I recall from actually reading the thing, it was basically implying that the SC2 scene sucked because it was being dominated by players like MVP, Nestea and MC, who were non-factors in Brood War, and that when players like Flash and Jaedong transitioned over, they'd dominate those guys to a similar degree to how they dominated them in Brood War.
The excuse given thus far for the Brood War champions' lack of success has been time investment, and that's certainly fair. I do expect them to get much better. But when you compare them to Reality and Roro, that excuse does not apply.

so, does happy have the defwin against mvp now or not?

Depends on how much weight you give Code A. Puzzle is the only Protoss Code A champion, and until Seed, the mini-Protoss champion to MC.
Genius made it to the finals, PartinG only the semis. Genius has also been in Code S forever, while PartinG was a no-name 9 months ago.
