Or what if SK picked him up? I know the SK manager said he wasn't looking for anyone else at the moment (think I remember him saying that in an interview at some european wcs qualifier?) but violet + mc would be the start of a sick sc2 team. No... no way. EG is the official kiss of death to any player's future success. Don't get me wrong, they monetize their business well, but they've yet to show any actual success, while smaller (well, not smaller, but less monetary) teams like Mouzsports, TL and Empire are actually getting sh*t done instead of just streaming and showing off their sponsor logos and pretending to be pro's, when the "pro" part of their job isn't a whole lot more than just a living billboard. lol, really? EG has tons of titles under their name; NASL, IPL1, several MLGs, several top4 MLG placings, IEM, ASUS ROG. EG has tons of results, whether you like it or not EG had a ton of results before Korean came over. Now they can't even compete with other NA/european teams without constantly grabbing the next free top korean agents and eventually even turning said korean/huk back to subpar status. Their teamhouse is detrimental to the "pros" progression. It is no surprise a teamhouse lacking structure and cares alot about its image fails at taking care of the pros. On top of having people in the team houses incontrol/machine that probably barely practices sc2 over playing other video games that acts as a distraction.
their pros would probably have a better practice rountine if they didn't stay in the teamhouse instead

They grab the next free top Korean agent? EG may of started the Korean arms race but other teams have over passed them by a stretch. Empire had 2 but just lost 1, Mill has 2, TL/CoL have 3 a piece and Fnatic may as well just be classed as a Korean team. Your other points are just as bad but I'll just tag them as flame bait

Depends on how you look at things. Yes, the teams of EG and TL have deep pockets to go out and sign the big name players whether they're foreigners or Koreans, but we can't automatically assume that's where he'll end up. You have to remember EG just recently signed Thorzain who came off of his impressive Dreamhack victory and he's been a big name in the EU scene for quite some time and then when you add the players of PuMa who has been a very consistent player and successful in the foreign scene, HuK who has had much success so far in SC2 and then adding on IdrA, Demuslim and JYP, there's a lot of money spent there and that's still not including the other 3 members of incontrol, machine and lzgamer so they have a lot of money spent on that roster and TL can be seen to doing the same with the players they have right now. It's not to say both teams wouldn't attempt to sign violet but it's just something to consider. Quantic, it's obvious they have some sort of backing with the likes of Naniwa, Sase and Thestc on their team, but once you look down the rest, the rest are definitely good players, especially with Illusion and Agh probably being two of the best players within the US scene but no other players really stand out so I guess it's possible since they only have 3 big name players but it can go either way, and coL is the last one. Right now they do have Killer, Heart and Ganzu as their top players and a lineup of good foreigner players behind that (good as in they are considered some of the better players in the foreign scene.) and with Nada retiring that does free up some money so I'd think coL would be the most likely to make an offer. Although truthfully I can see EG making one as well, unless the speculation about Stephano possibly joining them actually is true, which hypothetically speaking if that's happening then I don't think EG would make an offer unless they are trying to build up a stronger roster

Liquid'viOlet would sound really badass.

I'm loling at the conspicuous EG hatred in this thread.
Not that I disagree.

EG.viOLet has a nice ring to it...

I hope everything goes well with violet!

Violet isn't the only high-level player without a team though. oGs' disbandment means that players like Supernova, Inca, TOP, etc are all currently teamless, Genius is currently teamless, and Violet. I'm sure I've missed a few too.
Granted, Violet's English is a huge plus though, but even a team as loaded as EG does not have infinite financial resources.

This might be way off but he seems to like his razer gear - that's what he used when he didn't have a team. MvP and empire both were sponsored by razer, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was picked up by a razer sponsored team

I think it might be SlayerS, E.G, Mousesports or Quantic, that will pick Violet up.

That felt pretty fast o.o How long has his contract been with Empire?

6 months.

this is what I don't like on European teams. They're not good on management. they dont commit. they dont handle their players well. what if violet goes through round of 8. I really doubt they will still release violet.

Whatever team he joins, they will be extremely happy!

Wherever he ends up, I wish viOLet best of luck.

Bigs is from Korea. He's just lived in Switzerland a long time.

I would like to see him back on MVP but I know that isn't going to happen. I can see him either on Liquid or EG.

Where is stephano going? Mill and TSL have formed a partnership, he resigned with Mill fairly recently, and the rumors about him joining EG died. When people realized that Rakaka is not a valuable source of information. I'm thinking complexity or quantic. I know if I were stephano I would stay away from EG, they don't focus on their game, and their players underperform.
