This may not occur at a GSL, but to say that cheating on online tournaments is a non-issue is I feel completely erroneous. Stuff like this completely threatens the validity of e-sports as a legitimate means of making a living, especially when done by someone who was already caught maphacking and should absolutely know better by now. Don't think there are very many punishments that could be too hard on Spades (the replays are extremely convincing, unless I'm missing something big, then I apologize..)

I watched the replays more carefully and it looks like a lot of points that OP makes are false, for example 4 scv's at shakuras plateau, he took them after he saw marine in his natural. Also a lot of movement on Tal'darim looks like standard mech play with taking good spots for tanks. Other than that we should assume that Spades is not the best player so moving your army without care isn't anything special. He can also use mini-map to send his scouting worker, i do that sometimes as well. In the end i don't really think it's cheating there is a lot of points that are not true and the rest we can include into luck which happens quite often in SC2.

Didn't previous map hackers get caught by seeing if they clicked on enemy units or not since those maphacks made it so you would never register clicks on enemy buildings... and if this never happens after 50-100 games we can confirm they're map-hacking because the chances of that happening are so low it's probably not legitamate?

I'm in on this witchhunt.

Yeah after watching 4 of the replays there's definitely a funk of maphacking. Either he deserves to be in Code S or he's rigging the table.
|
Wow if this is true then.. pretty unfortunate either way :|
Knowing the community these days, he will have a bad name regardless if he hacks or not. Sucks.
|
Damn this blew up fast. Spades better say something quick or he's boned

To be honest, no.

Well this would explain 1-2 camera blocks (though why would you be doing those things in a showmatch?) but if there were repeated camera blocks for long lengths of time, over a period of multiple games and multiple sections of the game (not just the start when there's lots of time to just rally workers to minerals), then I would say that the evidence becomes more conclusive

on antiga you said theres a camera block at 9:11 for 9 secs, however he is selecting his scvs the entire time which he never had hot keyed.

There are more online tournaments than offline.

Honestly can't wait for this loser to disappear. honestly you don't know the background of that comment. There was a big bm fight between Hwangsin and Spades, and spades only said the comment after a lot of egging on by hwangsin. and Spades said sorry almost instantly. This community loves to witch hunt so much that its seriously annoying. Lets first take a deep breath and approach this rationally. Not that I'm defending his racist comments, but it's his history of being a hacker in that past that seem relevant to this. It's not necessarily true that "once a hacker, always a hacker", but it's a relatively good rough rule, especially with someone with Spades' personality, so it's not at all surprising to see him hacking again. but you have to remember a lot of people hacked in bw. and only 3 of them get any shit from it. Dimaga hacked, haypro hacked. both players who are crowd favorites nowadays. I'm just saying that a lot of people have history, and I don't think any current sc2 pro has never hacked a multiplayer game in their life. everyone does stupid shit, we shouldn't say that because someone did it 4-5 years ago means they would do it again just as quickly. Lets just think everything through before going all apeshit on Spades. When the fuck did Dimaga hack?

Thus less important.

In the Antiga Shipyard game at 6:23 he first scans Lucifron's base, then moves the camera there. Do people normally cast scan on the minimap? I'm honestly asking this, I don't know if there's any good reasons to do so.

Part of what you are for the community is written in your post count. People with less than 10 posts are not noteworthy and not trustworthy. I watched Shattered Temple entirely and the arguments made by the OP are ludicrous and totally out of context.

I think we really need to wait for some of the more experienced members of the community to provide their analysis before we jump on Spades over this and assume the allegations are true. I've just watched the Tal'Darim game, and though I agree that the camera locking, the lack of scans and some of the decision making (especially getting the blue-flame Hellions early on and then not even poking with them to see if the walloff was complete) are all pretty suspicious, I didn't see anything that convinced me that this was without a doubt a maphack. Let's give this a bit of time and see what the people who know what they're talking about have to say.
