In the finals for the Starswars7 (SW7) Chinese Qualifiers, Sen defeated Macsed with a score of 3:2 to win the qualifiers. After the games, Sen humbly expressed that he won it based on luck. He talked about GSL, Heart of the Swarm, and TeSL. He also expresses that ZvT is indeed nice to play, but is not imbalanced. Apart from these, Sen has nothing but praise for DRG's skill, and places Stephano (T/N: The name they have for him is literally translated into "French Zerg" lol), DRG and XiGua as top 3 Zergs in the world. Sen and MacSed will be heading to Shanghai to play in the SW7 finals.

Q: Hello Sen. First, Congratulations on beating MacSed to win the tournament. What's your evaluation of the matches? You used a 6-pool in the finals. Was it a stroke of inspiration?
A: I think we're both good players, but I was luckier, and my tactics and strategies were more successful, for example the building of a hatchery on his expansion location.
The use of a 6-pool was because I was ahead in terms of score, and because of the map. Maps with a wide ramp are suited for 6-pools.

Q: In the games which you played, you defeated Loner, Jim, MacSed and other good players. What do you think about the players from Mainland China?
A: I think the skills of the players from Mainland China are close to those of Korean players. There are many clubs, and many good players can come together to train and discuss... (laughs)
What's a pity is that there is very little on the competition front. You have to wait a really long time for any big tournaments to come by.
Q: In the SW7 offline finals, you'll be facing MacSed, MMA, and the winner from the western qualifiers. What are your views about this?
A: I don't have any special thoughts about it. Everyone's a great player, and I will try my best. I am particularly looking forward to this tournament though. Prior to this, I have only had a flight transfer in Shanghai. This is my first time ever stepping into Shanghai to play a tournament.
Q: You took part in the GSL Code S earlier this year. You gave up in the Up and Down matches and returned to Taiwan. Why did you choose to give up on the GSL? Any plans of going back to battle the Koreans?
A: The GSL players are really too strong for me. I usually base my practice around the ladder, but the Korean players not only practise on the ladder, they gather to think about the game, and develop strategies and tactics and styles of playing. I'm at a great disadvantage for this, and it was too troublesome.
I had to fly to Korea from Taiwan each time there was a tournament. The travelling is a very tiring process, so there isn't a high probability that I will return to play in the GSL.
Q: In the previous year, you were third in two NASLs and in one Blizzcon, and got close to USD$50000 in total last year. How do you plan to spend this money? Do you have any aims on how much money you wish to get this year?
A: No plans for now. I'll just save it up until I know what I want to do with it.
Q: Do you have any plans regarding the tournaments in the second half of this year? Where will your focus be?
A: In the previous season of TeSL, our team lost the chance to go to the finals because I slipped up in the final crucial game. I blame myself for that.
For this competitive season, my focus is very clearly on the TeSL, and helping our team win the tournament. However, if the chance occurs, and it doesn't have any effect on TeSL, I will still play in some foreign tournaments.

Q: After the buff to the queen, it is a common complaint that TvZ is really hard to play. What do you think about this?
A: Terrans have had a good time for such a long time, it should be about time for Zergs to enjoy haha. I think that in ZvT, queens can be use to counter hellions, reapers, marines, it's quite imba, but that's just the early game.
In the mid game, there's nothing heroic going on, but due to a lesser investment in defences in the early game, we can always go into the mid game with a better economy, which is why I feel ZvT is currently nice to play in. It's not imba though haha.
Q: There will be try-outs for Heart of the Swarm at MLG in June. What are you looking out for in this new expansion?
A: I am really looking forward to it. When Heart of the Swarm releases, there will be more strategies which will be really interesting. For this current version of the game, it goes roughly about the same way every time I practise. There're relatively few strategies or tactics being invented. It's kinda boring.
I like trying new stuff, so come quick Heart of the Swarm!~
Q: You've played with DRG at a Taiwan Barcraft. How would you evaluate your opponent? Who do you think are the top 5 Zergs in the world?
A: I don't think there's a need for me to give an evaluation of him. Everyone knows very clearly how good he is. As for the top 5 Zergs, Stephano (T/N: They call him French Zerg), DRG, XiGua, and I can't think of a fourth at the moment.
Q: Finally, we want to wish you all the best in your future tournaments. Anything to say before we end this interview?
A: I want to thank Gamania and our sponsor Razer. I also want to thank the organisers for inviting me and giving me this opportunity to show my skill. Finally, I want to thank our coach Zhang Yu and manager Zhang Bei for their contributions to the team. It's been tough on them.
