AWW SHIET, GSL time!
This time it's the finals, between LG-IMMvp and StarTale_Squirtle
Will try and write worthy recaps, let's get going!
Game 1: Daybreak
+ Show Spoiler + Standings: LG-IM Mvp 0-0 StarTale_ SquirtleMvp started in the upper right, while Squirtle began in the lower left. A one-Gateway expansion was the starting choice for the Protoss player, as Mvp constructed a factory off of one base. A lone Marine managed to deny the scouting Probe as a quick Starport came up in the Terran main, starting to build a Medivac as well as managing to take out the first Stalker. Three Hellions made way around the map, as a marine drop came in to Squirtle's main JUST as he warped in 4 Stalkers. With nothing to defend, a base-trade scenario ensued, but thanks to Mvp surrounding the Stalkers with his SCV's and killing them off, the came quickly ended in favor of Mvp in one of the shortest games on Daybreak, not even 10 minutes long!

Game 2: Entombed Valley
+ Show Spoiler +Standings: LG-IM Mvp 1-0 StarTale_ SquirtleEnding the first game quickly, Mvp managed to get the crowd going, and everybody was excited for the next game. After watching a dubstep eating montage (WTF) as well as an awesome hype video for Mvp, and seeing NesTea! in the crowd we finally, got into the s2econd game of the finals! I'm so pumped! With Mvp in the lower right, and Squirtle in the upper (or lower, according to Artosis) left, the game began. Both players went for a Barracks/Gateway first, with Squirtle adding two Assimilators. Mvp went for no gas, and added his second Command Center, adding on two additional Barracks later. Squirtle opted to expand as well, as Mvp added on his two Refineries. As the Nexus was half-way done, our Protoss player added on a Robotics Facility as well as 3 Gateways, going up to the 3 Gate-way Robo. He immediately started building an Immortal, and warped in 3 Stalkers. Meanwhile, Mvp had Stim halfwat done, as well as starting his +1 Weapons. Squirtle unfortunately got one Immortal caught by the Marines, because it was following the same path as the Observer without attacking. After this, Medivacs started to come out to reinforce Mvp's army, as +1 armor & Blink had begun researching, but Mvp made his way towards Squirtle's natural with his army, sniping an Observer and intimidating Squirtle, who started destroying the destructible Rocks. As Squirtle started his third, a stimmed Marine, taking advantage of the absence of the Protoss army when it tried to take down the scouting Factory, as well as forcing a cancel of Squirtle's third. Two Vikings flew into the main, seeing the Colossus tech, and also landing to take out one Stalker before being taken out themselves. At the same time, he Dropped into the natural, but that was defended by Squirtle, with Mvp maybe over-extending. Squirtle's third had finished at this point. After the engagement, Colossi started to come out as cloaking for Ghosts was started, as well as actual Ghost production. +2 armor & weapons were now started for Mvp, as Squirtle finished up +2 (or is it +3?) armor, and taking his fourth as a NUKE began production. Mvp scouted out the fourth, as Squirtle took the fight in the middle, and with the help of hallucinated Void Rays tanking shots from the Vikings, managed to take out Mvp's army in the middle. However, the cloaked Ghosts managed to take out additional Colossi. Mvp pulled some SCV's from his third, but safely averted the attack. After pushing Squirtle back, a Nuke was launched on the fourth Nexus, and with Mvp attempting to bait Squirtle's army into it, but it was noted, and only a few Probes died. As the Terran army engaged the Protoss fourth once again, and thanks to the Viking & Medivac count, Squirtle's army was destroyed, and Mvp looks poised to win this Code S finals!

Game 3: Antiga Shipyard
+ Show Spoiler +Standings: LG-IM Mvp 2-0 StarTale_ SquirtleAfter an interesting phone-call skit from Tastosis, the game got underway. Shit, I need a coke. Mission accomplished, let's go! With the same starting locations as the first game (Squirtle lower left, Mvp upper right), the game got underway. Both players opened with Barracks/Gateway first, with Squirtle taking double gas right after, like last game. Tasteless calling cheese in the next game if Mvp wins this one, we'll have to see Similar to last game, Mvp went 1-Rax expand, building his CC at his natural. Squirtle expanded as well. I had to hash-tag GSL on twitter, because Artosis made me do it. Mvp went up to a total of 4 Barracks, as 2 additional Gateways went up for Squirtle. Oh shit, looks like another base-trade scenario, as Squirtle started pressuring MVP's natural while a hit squad of Marines went into Squirtle's natural & main, killing tons of Probes, as well as taking power off of the 3 Gateways in the Protoss Main, and killing off tons of Probes, while holding the push to his main with the help of a Bunker. However, Squirtle pushed toward the natural of Mvp again, forcing the lift-off, and wanting to force-field Mvp out of the natural. However, Command Centers can fly, and it was just relocated to another base, and even another Command Centre began being built. As Medivacs started to come out, the Terran natural was re-taken. Stim finished at about the same time as two more Assimilators & a Twilight Council, as Mvp started moving to the natural, wanting to drop Marines up there, but the Protoss army was enough to scare it off. Squirtle started researching Blink & a Templar Archives, wanting Storm ASAP, a good choice considering Viking production had started. HOLY SHIT MVP IS DOING A LOT, that's one hella long production tab. Squirtle started his third, as a Marine/Marauder Drop came into the Protoss Main, killing off a TON of Probes as well as forcing the cancellation of warp-ins, and getting the Artosis Pylon powering at least 3 Gateways and a Robo. Mvp kept dropping everywhere, killing everything, and taking out Squirtle's third, whilst saving his own fourth expansion. With about double the supply, Mvp positioned himself at the middle, and flying 3 Vikings into the main and landing them there, as well as 3 full Medivacs whilst pushing for the natural, completely obliterating the Protoss army, and forcing the GG. Holy mother of God, Mvp is looking strong!

Game 4: Cloud Kingdom
+ Show Spoiler +Standings: LG-IM Mvp 3-0 StarTale_ SquirtleWith Squirtle looking really shaken, perhaps this will be the final nail in the coffin? let's see if Tastosis were right when they called the cheese this game. As a Protoss player myself, it's sad to see him fall apart like this. Today's korean words: Carrier: Uh-ju-mo-ham Battlecruiser: jeon-tu-sun-yang-ham (as well as some D3 trolling ) Let's get the game under way! Nice Squirtle hype vid, but I don't know if it can help him =/ Mvp started in the upper right, and Squirtle in the lower right. Both played started like the last ones, with Mvp once again denying scouting into his main, and building a quick Command Center, and adding on some more Barracks while it was building, and Squirtle getting a decently fast Nexus and a Robotics Facility, and adding on 2 more Gateways. This game, however, Mvp went for Siege Tanks for the first time in the series, starting Siege Mode & Stimpack research almost at the same time, and moving out to the Xel'Naga Watchtower. Squirtle continued to train more Immortals, as he placed down a Pylon at Mvp's third while a Command Center was built there, but whiffing a warp-in of 2 Zealots, not managing to kill off the building SCV, and basically wasting the Pylon. After some passivity, a Pylon saw the drop going to Squirtle's natural as well as his main, killing off some Probes as he pushed in towards the Protoss third, but Squirtle managed to avert the crisis. Squirtle started Colossi production, as well as adding on more Gateways, when Ghost production began. Squirtle managed to catch a drop going to his natural, as well as deflecting a drop in his main from doing damage. After this, Mvp scanned the third, seeing that Colossi were out, taking his fourth as he had two of them. Mvp started Viking production as he double-expanded, and Squirtle did some light harassment on the mineral lines, as well as dealing quite some damage to a Planetary Fortress, which he later sniped, although it was repaired. After this, the two armies clashed, with Squirtle coming out on top thanks to great usage of storms, and Mvp just couldn't reinforce fast enough, and called his first 'GG' of the series. Perhaps the aforementioned cheese will come in the next game? Stay tuned to fine out!

Game 5: Metropolis
+ Show Spoiler +Standings: LG_IM Mvp 3-1 StarTale_ SquirtleThe players started in the 6- and 12 o'clock positions, with Mvp at the bottom and Squirtle at the top. Mvp opened up with a 1-Rax expansion, and the same thing happened for the Protoss player. An SCV narrowly managed to see the Nexus at the natural being built, as a Robotics Facility began being built. By now, Mvp had a total of 3 Barracks, starting his Stimpack Research. Another SCV managed to scout out the entire main of Squirtle, seeing everything, as the Observer came into the main, with Marines moving out to take the Watchtower, as well as sniping the Observer (I think). Construction of a third Command Centre begun when Medivacs started coming out, as research of Blink began, as well as a third Nexus, which a lone Marine scouted. Colossi tech started, and more passivity ensued, with Mvp adding on more Barracks as he narrowly sniped another Observer and started Viking tech after the first Colossus had emerged. Mvp got himself a Ghost Academy, as well as started his fourth Command Center. The players just kept macroing up and improving their upgrades, with Squirtle getting Hallucination among his upgrades. As Mvp started construction of a Command Center, which could possibly become a Planetary Fortress, Squirtle moved into the fourth, killing it off, and with the help of more hallucinated Void Rays, he traded pretty efficiently with the Terran army, and took his fourth base after this. Two Marauder drops moved into the main as well as the fourth of Squirtle as Mvp double-expanded, doing some minimal damage. Mvp dropped again into the main and now-fifth, but they largely got denied. Observer damage got started as well as one Stargate, as Squirtle sniped a Command Centre in the making. A Fleet Beacon began construction when Mvp took the upper island expansion, building a ring of Missile Turrets there. A Dark Templar drop did some minimal damage to the Planetary Fortress, but not taking it out, as a MOTHERSHIP started coming out. Mvp took the other island expansion as well. As the mothership emerged, more passivity ensued, as a drop moved into Squirtle's fifth, taking out another Artosis Pylon, forcing him to move back, as the total amount of Battlecruisers went up to 7. The Mothership went into Mvp's main, Recalling the army, but the Protoss army got cleaned up by the BC's. Squirtle did a DT drop in the Terran map, but that was quickly denied. A hit squad of Vikings went into the main as well as another base, but they got completely denied thanks to storms. Holy crap Mvp has a shit-ton of Battlecruisers! a drop went into the fifth, but that got cleaned up almost instantly. A force of Marauders got sacked into an expansion, as Squirtle Recalled his army into an island expansion, but they got trapped there as the Mothership died. Cloaked Ghosts completely emptied the energy pools of the High Templars, as well as most of the Shields of the Archons. Squirtle managed to get another Mothership out, and could re-position his army on the Island to the main map, but with the help of a Warp prism instead. The game was now in a VERY tense moment, with Squirtle attempting an Archon toilet, with Psi Storms, Feedbacks, and managed, with the help of his Void Rays, to completely take out the Battlecruisers, managing to completely erase the Terran army. Mvp attempted to launch a defensive Nuke, but Squirtle managed to dodge it. Squirtle attacked the Wall of Battlecruisers and Planetary Fortresses, managing to take it out, and ending the game, making Mvp call the Good Game! Game six up next!

Game 6: Dual Sight
+ Show Spoiler +Standings: LG-IM Mvp 3-2 StarTale_ SquirtleAfter some more commercials, let's get this underway! Squirtle spawned on the left side, and Mvp on the right. Same openings, with 1 Barracks/Gateway as openings, and Mvp doing a 1-Rax expand as follow-up with 2 gas, adding on more Barracks with time. Squirtle did a 1-Gateway expand, and pressuring the Terran ramp a little bit, as a Factory began building. Mvp started building Seige Tanks, as Squirtle went up to a total of 3 Gateways. An SCV scouted out Squirtle's army going to his natural, and managed to deny any severe damage. Research on Zealot Charge started, as well as more Gateways. Mvp kept adding more Barracks as well as a Starport, as Mvp went to take control of one of the Xel'Naga watchtowers. A lone marine almost scouted the Chargelots, but a Stalker managed to deny this. Squirtle started morphing some Archons, making his composition Chargelot Archon, as well as taking his third, which got scouted out almost immediately. Mvp found out about the Charge, as Psi Storm reached half completion, and moved out across the map, and Squirtle's army got caught out of position by the Terran army, and it looked harsh for Squirtle, but thanks to a great Psi Storm, he managed to hold on. However, he overextended his reach when going against the army, and a lot of his own got killed, and he lost his third. Bunkers went down near the natural, as well as a proxy Factory with an attached Tech Lab, as a temporary lagspike scared the shit out of everyone, but luckily the game progressed, with Squirtle running into the Siege Lines, and Mvp kept pressuring, as he took his third base with the Command Center that used to be in his main. Reinforcements kept streaming into the natural, and a waiting game was played. Squirtle managed to get into the main, as well as killing off the natural, as Mvp moved into Squirtle's Natural, but thanks to the Psi Storms, the Terran army got shredded, and our Protoss player emerged victorious! We're going to have a game 7!!

Final game: Game 7: Atlantis Spaceship
+ Show Spoiler +Standings: LG-IMMvp 3-3 StarTale_SquirtleThe final game was played on a map that's known for not being that good for Terran, hinting that we might have a cheese in our final game. I actually don't know a lot about this map, so I'm excited to see what might happen! Mvp spawned in the bottom left, while Squirtle started in the top right. I was right, we got a double proxy Rax! Squirtle missed it, and made a Zealot. He also spotted the SCV's leaving Mvp's main, and a Bunker got started. However, Squirtle managed to deny it just in time and kept doing a dance, just barely saving his Stalker, as Squirtle spotted the Barracks, but he lost a lot of his units, and an overwhelming number or marines got into his main, as the rest of Mvp's SCV's got into the Main. Squirtle got his units caught, and lost a lot of them, the Bunker got up, and killed the Gateway, Cybernetics Core, and finally the Nexus, and at this moment, Squirtle typed out GG. MVP is our fourth-time GSL CHAMPION! p.s: Sorry for not writing about this last game well enough, I was far too distracted by the game.
