Here is what I know:
Wood floors.
There are three rooms to be resurfaced, sq. footage adds up to about 650-850 sq. ft.(an estimate is the best I have at the moment.)
Floors are very old, and in horrible condition, but we are just going to sand and resurface them, not replace any wood. (budget)
I have 15 workers, including myself, that will be working long hours free of charge, so labor isn't an issue.
We are hoping to get the big equipment (Drum/belt sander and Orbital sander) for free for a while from organizations we are affiliated with, but for the time being, I am assuming 1/2 avg. rental price for the two combined. (I live in downtown Milwaukee if that matters.)
The plan for finishing material is the "Street Shoes" 2-part system, primer and sealer. It is probably sort of pricy, but this is a really high traffic area.
I have no idea what amount of sand paper will be needed or even what grits will be used. (100/150/200 was suggested however.)
We are hoping to get the project completed, one room at a time, as quicly as possible, and we only have 1 weekend for one of the rooms. (about 200sq. ft.)
Any help with sand paper amounts, rental price ranges, or simply suggestions for how to go about the project, would be greatly appreciated. A budget estimate/approximate time frame, with the above criteria considered, would make me extremely happy, but that may be too much to ask for.
Thanks
