Anyway, this is a bit sad to see the nostalgia dissipating before my eyes, but it was always inevitable, and I also want to see how the tip top of BW would do in SC2.

While by no means is SC2 even close to BW, I think with a complete shift it will start to rise to that level faster than ever. Just hope people are more open to what seems like the inevitable! Lots of the original hardcore games suffer the same consequences especially when gaming company has to start releasing in every few years a new edition of the famous game it self. Quake 1 ---> Quake 2 -----> Quake 3 ( game play still lives in quake live ) ---- > Quake 4 Cs 1.6, Cs source and CS : GO (Although cs go looks like it is sticking to the formula really close ...) As long as developers have to publish newer version of the games fan's who still want to remain fans of the series will have to jump ship .

For example, as I fumbled around with Google translate, I found a mention of "Anaheim Convention Center," though I'm not sure why. Maybe it's referencing MLG Anaheim? Or perhaps it's referencing the BW pros visiting the last Blizzcon? I dunno.

Deep inside I still have the hope that this plan will inevitably fail (somehow) and kespa will switch back and regenerate the scene. Sigh, this is really a dark time. Don't die on me yet, BW!

I mean, I'm sure Flash is good, but it's not like getting Masters is some huge achievement. Just being in Masters doesn't even qualify you to enter the GSL qualifiers. Yellow made it to Masters and he got humiliated by no-name amateurs in Project A. Also, second the request for a Reddit translation >_> <_< >_>

MLG has been hinting that MLG Anaheim will have HotS stuff and BW Pros. 100% not BW pros playing, but probably someone invited and signing stuff.

This means he basically won every game all the way to masters, in the few days before he could move his arm well enough for BW.

But honestly it isnt that surprising, Macro is pretty much the only thing you need to get to masters with anyways.

The few reasons why BW is starting to feel less exciting are these matchups. In 2007 etc jaedong made ZvZ look like less coinflippy and stork and bisu made PvP look not so coinflippy aswell. Nowadays it just feels like 50/50 who will win.

I think BW will kind of exist in this weird place, before getting to a new equilibrium of being bigger than, say, counter-strike, but smaller than LoL. It'll be interesting to see, then, who in the BW scene loves BW and who loves the large salaries of BW. I kind of expect any TLBS who switch to SC2 to switch back to BW after they retire (because you don't get to the tippy-top like that without loving the game), while a few with less to lose will play outside of KeSPA in small-money tournaments, which'd be bigger than the ISLs we foreign fans can get. Right before the LAST thread of this topic was closed, someone posted a Korean article on the switch mentioning that SC2 being less interesting to watch that BW was a problem for KeSPA to fix. That, honestly, was much more interesting to me than anything else that's come out of this rumor mill in months and months. I'm really curious to how KeSPA would make force SC2 to be better. 6m1hyg is showing promise, but also showing a lot of weird cheeses. The entertainment is a small problem. in BW you had mine drags, reaver's scarabs, storms plagues, and all sorts of fun spells which made the game entertaining. While SC2 does have its baneling bombs for mine drag detonations, storms arent the same, the AI's has been refined such that there isnt really an element of randomness/luck involved which makes it exciting (scarabs), and while fungal has the same effect as plague...I dont know..it doesnt feel the same.

It's a huge interview and though the summary points are very informative, I have a feeling that there might be some interesting information in there that has not been summarized. Considering MLG Adam recently announced that unnamed esports superstars would be attending the upcoming MLG Anaheim, that's a pretty big pickup from the article

But I like optimism and I think that even if Sc2 is not that great atm , HotS and LotV will make it a much better game I heard that before BW , Sc1 was pretty boring ! You don't like Wing of Liberty but give a chance to Sc2 !

But the game is feeling old now to watch, its still exciting but the one thing im getting very tired of in BW is the hydra busts that keep happening year after year and still beating all protoss alot of the time(way to often imo). Also ZvZ is getting very coinflippy and that is also pretty lame, same with PvP. The few reasons why BW is starting to feel less exciting are these matchups. In 2007 etc jaedong made ZvZ look like less coinflippy and stork and bisu made PvP look not so coinflippy aswell. Nowadays it just feels like 50/50 who will win. As someone who is a pretty heavy follower on sc2 as well as BW, i can guarantee you won't find your solution to the mirror matchups in starcraft 2 haha
