I tuned in for a bit of this and saw a guy dying to baron and just a whole lot of failed ganks. I'm just trying to get a grasp for whether these were bad games or if this is generally how high-level LoL goes.

Ganks happen more often at low level play, and succeed more often. Higher level play people gank less because the likelyhood of success is lower, and when they do gank it still often results in failure because they're not willing to blow 2 flashes for the possibility of getting a kill. This ogn tournament has a lot of really good teams, Ro8 on should be all good teams.

And once you go for it you pretty much have to commit. Still a bad play obv.. Both teams that played today are pretty good tho and except for a few bad calls (mainly at baron. Hi loco!) the games were good and high lvl.

If they got more international hype international teams might be more prone to stay a season. The english vods always have taken a while. Prelims are here: http://www.ognlol.com/vod/main registration is free.

As I feared, the game is balanced around scrubs not dying, so of course high level players are going to be able to keep themselves alive. Well, at least I can say now I gave LoL a decent chance.

VOD Payment 1 Day – $1.99 1 Week – $2.99 (Special Discount for Spring 2012), $3.99 1 Month - $8.99 I'm a bit disappointed that there's no option to get the VODs permanently like the GSL. I would rather they split it up by season so I don't lose access to the VODs after the subscription is over but this method does get them more money.
