This blog is going to be a little different than my usual LoL rant...
I don't feel 100% comfortable posting personal details on TL like so many others do constantly, so it's probably going to be a little vague unless info gets dragged out of me by you wonderful people somehow. I dunno...even were I to offer more info, the average age of TLers is decidedly...lower than those who might be able to offer sound advice to me. Not that I'm sure you guys aren't incredibly insightful, but for many people it's something you won't be dealing with for quite a while.
Essentially, I REALLY need someone to talk to right now, and for very specific reasons, I can't talk to anybody about my issue for a little while. So I'll just vent here really vaguely. If nobody reads this or posts, so be it.
Just got some rather frightening news and I am not very well-equipped to deal with it. I'm probably better off than a lot of people who are in similar situations, but my future is now bearing down upon me, and to be honest it terrifies me. I don't know how my wife and I will be coping a year from now, especially given many other issues going on in our lives currently. I usually try to emotionally (and sometimes logically) deal with problems or issues by venting and having someone to bounce ideas off of and just discussing things ad nauseum, but my wife is the only person I can talk to right now, and in this case she is very little comfort or help, though I love her dearly. I just don't know what to do guys, or how I can just stop worrying and learn to love the bomb.
Help, TL. (Rhetorical? Maybe....)

Throw me a PM if you like. Been around a few different blocks, utterly un-shockable.

Okay. I don't know about your problem, and can't offer you any specifics.
But first, calm down. Do some breathing exercises, make sure that your hands are not trembling, that you are not in panic mode. Panicking is the worst thing you can do right now. Avoid making decisions, because you can and will make the wrong one. Just calm down for now. Your problems can wait a few minutes.
Second: Evaluate your situation. If it is financial, which I assume it is, then look at your options. Do you live in a city? Are you willing to downsize your standard of living. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, do you have any family in the area or country that can give you aid and shelter until the current crisis is over. You must make a map of your decisions. But you must not do this now. Right now, you need to calm down. And you need to take your time with that.
Finally-we've all been in situations like this. I'm a lot younger than you, so I have very little experience dealing with this, but remember. You have all the time you need, relatively speaking, to get help. And no matter what happens, stand tall and hold fast. You always, always, have friends, and I'm sure that many of them would want to help you.
And if you need more, PM me.
EDIT:
PM JINGLEHELL. He has been in many, many rough spots and knows what he's doing. I highly recommend you do so immediately.

And if it's medical, stress is also bad. I kinda got medical/family related out of it.
I know I felt like he sounds when I got diagnosed with Crohn's, and when my wife (girlfriend at the time) got pregnant.

Yes, I think that you are uniquely suited to offer advice given what I have found out about by following you.
I have been in similar medical situations, but nothing as serious as that.

I'd be able to answer a possible PM in around 8 hours from now (hurrdurrbedtimenow), since I still remember you from our lovely subforum and this sounds rather serious you'd get prioritized.
Guess you know my take on things if you remember some of my rants over there. =D

Wow guys, I can't believe how quickly people reached out to help....TL is fucking amazing.
I suppose based on some of the replies here I may be blowing it out of proportion a little, but needless to say it is a very serious situation to me for a great number of reasons. Jinglehell, I did PM you so maybe we can discuss. I appreciate all the kind words and advice from everyone here, and I guess I can try to keep you guys updated somehow without revealing too much if you want.
Much <3, TL. This is why we are the bst forum/site out there.

Yes. Here we are all family, family that can help with anything, comfort for anything.
TL is a gathering. We are all here to find answers, and sometimes end up finding more than that.
I wish you luck.

Well more qualified people have already volunteered to talk with you, but I'll just add my love and good-wishes. TL is a great family. Glad you are part of it. Try not to stress.

Try not to stress. RedJustice I remember reading your blog a while back when you were going through some heavy shit in reagrds to your life and illness. I had wanted to post at the time giving you advice as I know exactly what you were going through but for whatever reason I didn't and now I regret it.
Is everything with you working out ok? Karma (I know this isn't Reddit) makes me think I need to reach out to others as so many people have done here for me.

What exactly is stress, and how do you know you're under/feeling stress?

Stress is a term that is commonly used today but has become increasingly difficult to define. It shares, to some extent, common meanings in both the biological and psychological sciences. Stress typically describes a negative concept that can have an impact on one’s mental and physical well-being, but it is unclear what exactly defines stress and whether or not stress is a cause, an effect, or the process connecting the two. With organisms as complex as humans, stress can take on entirely concrete or abstract meanings with highly subjective qualities, satisfying definitions of both cause and effect in ways that can be both tangible and intangible. In short: hard to tell what it is exaclty.
Stress can show itself through a wide range of symptoms as well. Check out the list of symptoms on wiki, it's huge. And incomplete. Stress isn't always negative though. Permanent stress is the bad thing for the most part.
Good luck, WaveofShadow! It'll work out one way or another.

Thanks again all, and much love to the TL LoL subforum. I'm definitely already feeling a little better about it (at least before the tangible stuff starts kicking in). I think I may continually blog about this once I can start 'releasing' more information since it will be not only very informative, but I feel it'll also be very therapeutic.

A good night's sleep can help with feeling better to be sure. Glad I could help.
