So much complaining after seeing a drawn out, non stop action Entombed Valley and a clutch hold in a cheese game. Complaining that Terran cannot win, because we already have forgotten that MarineKing won two MLGs crushing every single Protoss and with Jjakji looking almost unbeatable in the match up? (Actually he looks a little bit to TvP as MMA is to TvZ).
Had forgotten how much of an entertainment drain it is to read this crap while watching. It's not usually this bad in GSL threads, but I guess all the whiners came out tonight. But there is no zerg today!? It's because people overrated Polt due to foreign tournament results. He isn't Code S level. Saving this quote for when Polt gets out of the group. Thanks for saving that quote for me. He's still a Code S level player though he didn't get out of the group Then why did he lose in the first round of Code A to someone who failed to make Code S?
Even though Polt lost his games, I still felt like he had really solid TvP. At one point Artosis was even talking about how Polt's TvP is better than MKP's and so on.
There were long stretches of play where it seemed like Polt was ahead and had actually been controlling the game, especially in the first series. He was staying ahead up until 5 base against Parting I believe, but he eventually lost in the late game. After I watched the VODs, I got the impression Parting and Oz are some of the best PvTers, not that Polt's TvP isn't Code S level.
I think Polt is capable of going 2-1 against Parting or Oz, he just didn't this time. What did you see in his game play that tells you he's not capable of staying in Code S?

TvP feels soooo map dependent. Entombed valley - auto win for toss. Antiga - auto win for terran.

I agree here. Polt was looking really strong in some of those games. I just think this group was actually one of the hardest groups thus far (discounting forGG). Oz has been very solid and consistent for a while now and Parting's PvT is just disgusting.

I'm not good enough to say I saw anything specific in his games. What I do see is last nights results and his TLPD page throughout which he has gone 11-24 in GSL games since the start of GSL October.

Hmm, how so? Entombed it's difficult to drop, very secure third for toss and relatively easy fourth. Daybreak seems a little more spread out.

Except that would mean that he called ForGG a solid Code S player, which would be somewhat exaggerated imo. lets just say we were all right ;-)

Sad to see that fOrGG coudln't take out Oz again. Strange to see him go 2-0 so dominantly and then suddenly go 0-2 to the same player. It also seemed like fOrGG didn't put in a whole lot of effort in his matches against PartinG, more focusing on the second game.

wtf? no recommended for first 3 matches?

Oh my god lol.. I'm watching the vods now.. I can't stop laughing at Tasteless commenting on game 2 of Parting vs Fin and Artosis's face while Tasteless kept going on about how bad of a game it was.

I watched the game 3x and while his macro was awesome he played pooly in engagments. Attacking up protoss ramp half the game all clumped. Wiffed just about every EMP. One snipe out with about 30 total ghosts. Lost too many Ghosts cause he had 10 clumped in a ultralisk sized area.
PartinG OTOH played awesome in those engagments. Spread out most of the time. Smart;y withdrew zealots from chasing kiting bio ball. Hit a few dozen stroms. Multi prong base harrassment.
Polt Was outclassed on the micro.

Lol Polt's streak vs MC was all last year when his stim timing was unstopabble.. giving him nearly 90% winrate vs toss.
MC beat Polt in MLG and Polt beat MC in IPL. Polt did the same to Oz in IPL. I think Polt's tvp is till the best and he just made some bad decision always attacking to a ramp vs a protoss. Parting's style made it even better since he just waited to flank with storms.
As far as who hast he best PvT I'd still give it to MC. Parting just has more oohs and aahs because of his templar play.

Nah I'll give partinG best pvt but MC's pvz far outclasses that still making him superior overall IMO.

I never knew how dependent i became on the recommended games section until I saw the first couple of sections where blank and I was unsure of what games to watch lol

Yeah you can look at his TLPD, or you can actually watch the games in which he showed strong play, a lot stronger than I've seen from other Code S players this season.
In reality there are many players who have the ability to perform in Code S, that's what I'd define as 'Code S level', rather than merely results in Code S. I mean look at someone like Liquid Hero, he is not magically a better player than he's been showing for months, he just has some results behind him. To be described as 'outclassed' or 'not Code S level' Polt would have had to have been destroyed in massively one-sided games which was patently not the case.

Artosis is biased and really hated MarineKing, that's why he felt the need to mention this. Honestly anyone who has watched both players the past 2 months should be able to vouch for MKP.

Artosis has been hyping MKP up a shit ton over the last month or so, constantly talking about how great and amazing he is.
