Man.
This week disappeared into a vortex of non-activity. I think.. hmm.. Did I actually do anything? No, wait, I spent two days hanging out with family. I guess that makes it a week well spent. I signed up to this fitocracy thing yesterday. Interesting concept. It certainly got me on my back, doing crunches and push-ups for virtual points that don’t really matter on a website I’ve never visited before. This website is in turn populated by people I don’t really know that seem to have an admirably fake enthusiasm about my push-ups.
Actually working out felt nice. Logging my workout? I think I’m hooked.
Right.. Starting up my foobar2000, let’s get some music going. Hmm.. Don’t feel like justice or gorillaz today and I’m not going to pretend to be a narcissist by listening to my own music all day. Even though I do listen to it. All day.
Björk it is.
Post is the only björk album I can really commit to listening to. It’s the only album she’s done that isn’t completely drenched in the standard björk crazyness, while still having enough of a dose to keep things fresh and interesting. You never really know what’s going to happen next. Mostly it just reminds me of how bad Biophilia is. At least when I saw her live I could almost kind of appreciate the music, but listening to the album on its own? It’s a rough listen. The biggest problem with it is björk’s commitment to the theme she has selected on each track. Most of the songs feel like they’re being held back in some way by the restraints created by her.
Crystalline is cool though.
I’m going to get drunk tomorrow. Like real proper roaring dead in the streets drunk. Maybe this will be my last blog post ever written. Wouldn’t that be a story for the ages. I can see the headlines now..
“Blogger found dead after a night out on the town, posthumously blogs about it.”
Time to wrap this up and go do some more push-ups.
Here’s to another weekend, let’s hope I survive this one. Come Monday I might even have some crazy stories to tell.
Or not.
