Forum Index > LoL Tournaments |
At any point of IEM Season 6 Championship, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Hannover but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 06.03.2012

CLG banned those champs because they're literally the only 3 champs diamond ever plays, forcing him to play nocturne worked well, CLG just had no followup and played badly when they had significant leads. This is wrong, and has been proven so several times already in this topic.

If you actually objectively analyzed hotshots play over the span of the last year in tourneys and scrims you would realize how weak a player he actually is. I don't mind people thinking he is a great player, as long as it is objective. But when he is making really newbish mistakes in tournaments, plays champions with larger margins for error, and is well known for being a pathological liar, i think people need to accept it for what it is. I remember not too long ago he tried to play nidalee support in a scrim, he bought a doran's blade and an aegis and never got any gp10. Anyway his team kept calling him out for the lack of wards, and he claimed he warded "3 times" more than the opposing support player, it was a blatant lie and he actually believed it to be true himself. He can't play any of the champions with a high skill cap very well. Also to the person trying to dawg WE, WE is considered one of the top teams in china, if you understand the way they are playing as a team you know that they are insanely skillful. You can see the same thing in m5, with how coordinated they are and how they use abilities like flash for example. Now you can try to straw man about my post history, as I tend to only post about controversial topics that i see mass ignorance being perpetuated in, but in the end some people have really good foresight/insight about games and the players involved, and some don't. I can tell you now hotshot himself will never be a top player skillwise, especially now that everyone has gotten better, he has plateau'd, and CLG will never win a major international tournament in the future with their current lineup. Fanboi it all you want, time will tell who knew what was up. Keep in mind m5 just 2-0'd clg without using their normal playstyle because of the targetted bans. You can say "clg threw" and yes they did make mistakes, but if you actually observe m5's play, you know they are very resilient to losing, even if they make mistakes early game, they often are able to outplay and outskill opponents in the lategame teamfighting stage. For example when they played clg.eu in the kings of europe, game 2 and 3 they were WAY behind, and they rallied back to win and almost win in 2 games. Great players are resilient, they make comebacks, m5 has an entire team that is capable of doing this. Some players aren't good enough to play from behind individually, hotshot is one of them. Game 1 Doublelift just lost his lane too hard and CLG didn't damage control early enough. Game 2 HSGG just got overconfident and did some really stupid shit and threw the game. If it weren't for HSGG's game throwing I think CLG wouldve had as much of a chance at winning the bo3 as M5. The lack of awareness that hotshot displayed should never happen with tournament caliber teams. People make mistakes, but to make them so frequently in the span of an individual game is ridiculous. I've seen other top laners like dyrus have a really hard time understanding when you are supposed to teleport and where you can do it efficiently. It's absurd to me that "top" players have such a lack of understanding with that aspect of the game, especially when it is so relevant to the lane they specialize in. This is happening because LoL as an esport is still developing, eventually more and more players will create tournament level teams and the standards will all go up. Yes I used a scrim as an example of him telling a blatant lie and believing it to be true because he has a very difficult time ever considering that he has made mistakes. Do lies count less in scrims than in matches? A lie is a lie.... Oh and i blame hotshot for his mistakes, and yes, he is clg's weakest link imo, and is holding them back. Doublelift has his own problems, which are actually similar to hotshots, he has a hard time grouping up, and tunnel vision farms sometimes. CLG was having problems long before doublelift rejoined the team, they scapegoated elementz. They've scapegoated jiji, they've scapegoated doublelift. Do you know who almost never accepts blame for team performance though? HotshotGG I've seen hotshotgg powerfeed in tournaments before, 2-9 on cho, like 1-11 or something on swain, somehow those games get forgotten.

Actually, best part is that he is "well known" for this. Known to who?

You've got to be joking/trolling dude. It was an example, a very clear and simple one to understand. It's not new to anyone that watches hotshot's stream or follows clg in tournaments, hotshot has a very hard time admitting his faults, and he is so defensive that he often snaps back at an accusation of fault, with some absurd defense that he actually believes. For example, his team saying he hasn't been warding, and him snapping back automatically with some conjured up statistic that he has warded 3 times as much as the enemy support, when in reality he has barely warded at all the entire game. Being defensive and stubborn is one thing, when you are actually passionate and believe your lies, that is another. It shows just how skewed his perspective is, and just how much he believes most of his mistakes aren't his fault. Because LoL is still developing teams are still getting better at punishing players for their flaws, hotshot's flaws have been covered up for a long time because his team was ahead of the curve, but now things like his incompetence with the teleport summoner, and poor understanding of when to group with his team, are all getting exploited more often. His flaws are so newbish that it would be like a top cs 1.6 player not understanding when he needs to start defusing a bomb, or when he needs to rotate.

I take it you didn't watch the post game interview at this tournament where he admitted he got caught, contributing to CLG's loss to M5. He put the blame on himself. I'm actually laughing out loud at your posts.

Big time soon, can dignitas defend their jungle vs m5? I don't think M5 is as cautious about jungle dominance vs Dig as they were vs CLG. And will Voyboy pull Lee Sin top again to smash faces?

I don't get banned because people who are objective understand what I am saying. Fanbois, who are unobjective people, have a tough time coping with it. Some people are passionate about the integrity of an esport, and the perfection of a specific game. Others look at it very loosely and don't really want to deeply analyze anything. Sorta like to some people sc2 is just "build armies then fight and someone wins" to others they pay attention to the details, builds, mid-battle decisions, adaptability, etc. LoL is young as an esport, so knowledge of the game is slowly trickling down from the hardcore fanatic to the extremely casual viewer. Right now some people may not understand why hotshots incapability to group or teleport properly is such a glaringly newbish flaw. They may not watch his mechanics closely and see how weak he is as a player etc etc.
