RAZER AND TEAM MVP FIGHTING!
Elite Korean StarCraft II team joins the ranks of Team Razer!
Carlsbad, Calif. – 2nd March, 2012 – Razer™, one of the world’s pioneering supporters of e-Sports, and Team MVP, Korean powerhouse e-Sports organization, will be joining forces to further and strengthen Korean pro-gaming and ensure further financial assistance for their players to attend international events.
Razer’s decision to support another top Korean pro-gaming organization is a move to reinforce and extend support for e-Sports in the region as well as on an international level whereby players from Team MVP will see increased support for international tournaments - such as GSTL Finals in Las Vegas - allowing them a greater chance to experience and win foreign StarCraft II events.
Recognized officially as a Korean pro-gaming organization in late 2010, Team MVP placed first in the Global StarCraft II Team League Season 1 in 2011 to cement themselves as one of Korea’s finest StarCraft II teams. MVP’s roster includes some of the world’s best known players, including Code S finalists team captain, Zerg mastermind and Code S regular Park “DongRaeGu” Soo Ho and 2010 Blizzcon victor and Protoss player Jung “Genius” Min Soo, both of whom will contribute heavily to the creation and development of new Razer peripherals.
“It’s an honor to work alongside arguably one of the best StarCraft II organizations in the world,” said Robert “RazerGuy” Krakoff, President, Razer USA. “Korea is in many ways the heart of e-Sports for StarCraft II and supporting such a distinguished team allows both of us to grow, develop and reinforce our support for this community on many levels”.
"We are pleased to be supported by the number one gaming gear company, Razer," said Yun-sang Choi, Head-Coach and Owner, MVP TEAM. "The MVP players and I appreciate Razer’s passion for e-Sports as a whole and we will try to show good and interesting games for StarCraft 2 fans in the world. We look forward to a strong and positive future between Razer and MVP from this point forward.”

I have to love Razer for all they do, which is why I buy their products. Mvp is a great team as well, so they made a good decision. I can't wait to see Keen bounce back and destroy everyone.

Wait, so what does this mean? Will MVP players now use a Razer tag? Will Razer be sponsoring MVP players going to international events? What's this mean for the coL-MVP partnership?

Razer almost sponsoring every sc2 team :O

Also only sponsoring EG and fnatic is not good enough compared to razer's teams.

Wished Zenex got this.

sigh i kinda wish sponsors meant more these days. We know nothing of these sponsorship's today anymore. This could be something as dumb as free gear for all players and 50 dollars a month for MVP to say razer is one of their sponsors. Just seems like anyone can get a sponsor from steelseries or razer but the circumstances aren't specified. I know some teams that say ttesports sponsors them when all they get is just like 6 full sets of gear O_o wouldn't really call that a sponsorship more like a donation for these companies.

That's great! Congrats to team MVP!

Are you serious? Lol, SteelSeries is a gaming peripherals sponsor, their key is ROI it doesn't have to be just from one game (SC2), and even IF IT WERE, they have the EG SK Fnatic Na'Vi and chinese team Tyloo, those are pretty much miles away the largest organizations in their respective areas (Russia, Europe, China, NA).

Well I mean list the options, either Razer says thats fine for creative to compete with us (doubt it, they sponsor enough big teams to not care if col isn't one of them) AND creative does the same. Or their partnership may continue with or without the cosponsorship, or they act more separately, or it splits.

The exact details of all our sponsorships are confidential for various reasons.
We're hinting towards the kind of support we're delivering however:
"ensure further financial assistance for their players to attend international events."
50 USD is not going to do that.

They still have Complexity as a sponsor on their website.

Happy for team MVP, these guys deserve it. They produced the first Code S champion of 2012.

But why would you look at just one game instead of the scope of what they're doing. There is no point questioning their body of work because it is successful, just because it might not encompass one game more than Razer does lol.
