So I recently reformatted into a 64bit version of windows 7, previously used a 32 bit copy but I had to reformat into this version so going back is not an option. I used to run XSplit just fine but now I get the following error when I try to load it:
XSplit has detected that Flash Player for Internet Explorer is not installed.
XSplit requires at least version 10.3.181 of Flash Player for Internet Explorer to be installed. Failure to install the latest version of Flash Player for Internet Explorer can result in unexpected behavior.
I googled around and there are other people with this problem. It appears that XSplit must be run with the 32 bit version of Adobe Flash player for Internet Explorer. I cannot download the 32 bit version for my 64 bit windows, when I do and try to install it says that a newer version already exists and fails to install. This happens after I have uninstalled all Adobe Flash programs on my computer and rebooted.
XSplit will not work with any other version of Adobe Flash that I have tried and I have found no solution anywhere.
Any help would be much appreciated!

^ I just did what this said to do and installed the 64 bit for IE which also installs the 32 bit and I still get the error from XSplit. So I definitely have the right thing installed but it still tells me that I don't which means I can't even load the program.

Do you still have internet explorer?
|
Try installing a older version of xsplit, the newest one screwed me over but when i uninstalled and installed a older version it worked just fine, im running on a 64 bit windows as well.
|
Okay the problem , for some reason, is that I have both Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer ( 64 ) installed, even when I load the 32 bit one and try to install flash through it, after installing and reloading IE it still says i don't have flash.
It's not an XSplit problem, it's something wrong with my computer T_T

Make sure your browsers are not running while installing Flash (use Task Manager - Processes to confirm). Maybe even un-install the 64-bit Flash and then install the 32-bit and then the 64-bit version.
In the meantime I'll try and get confirmation from the XSplit team whether the 32-bit really is a requirement or not.

I run Windows 7 64-bit Professional and use xsplit with no issues.
Update your browsers with the correct Adobe Flash plugins from the following website:
+ Show Spoiler +http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
It will auto-detect your browser.
If you happen to use multiple or various different browsers than that is your problem. You need to update or download the flash plugin for each of those browsers unless you deny the other browsers from being the "main" browser.
After downloading and installing, restart your PC.

@FT.aCt)Sony No offense, but I think you should read his second post again - he already did all that, and even more

He did it for IE not all of the browsers that he may have.
He may have Firefox be his main browser which he chose too with the pop-up hence Firefox is pulling flash as well. Or maybe he has Chrome/IE/Firefox and all three need to be updated.
No offense, but I think you should read what I said

But XSplit only has a dependency for Flash for IE. You might as well suggest that he install Adobe Reader or the GOM player

I dont have IE on my pc where I am running win7 64 bit and use Xsplit with no issues so in turn IE Flash is not mandatory nor required if myself or others are capable of doing it without IE.

To uninstall IE click on your start button and type Programs and Features in the search box or go to control panel > programs and features. Once there click "view installed updates" in the left panel. Under uninstall an update go to the Microsoft Windows section. Right click on Windows IE9 and do uninstall. Restart PC if you want too at that time.
Guess you just lost that e-peens erection.

Maybe someone can help me because I'm having a related problem:
I installed the Flash that Xsplit told me to during the installation (the one for IE), and now streams (using flash) don't load at all on Justin/Twitch/Ustream/Own3d for me. Youtube still works, and pretty much every other site using flash still works, except streaming sites. They somehow work when I use the TL sidebar, and they work when I open them up in Chrome, but Firefox (I use Nightly) can't open them anymore.
Browser is Nightly, Win 7 64bit.

Did you ever solve this problem? I just reformatted my PC the other day and installed Windows 7 64 bit. I installed the newest version of xsplit, and was prompted to install flash for IE. I opened IE, googled "get flash" and went to the first link:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
I followed the prompts to install flash, and everything worked fine. I would suggest uninstalling the Flash plugin and reinstalling it. If you go to:
Control Panel -> Programs and Features
You will see a list of applications. You can identify the plugin for IE because it will be called "Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX" whereas the other browsers use the one called "Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin"
Uninstall the ActiveX plugin and try again.

Thanks for the help. I tried it and it didn't work, so I got pissed off and went back to Firefox 10.0, which fixed it. I guess the problem was with Nightly then.
|
okay, i had this problem. the flash website is really bad and would just forever present the screen saying i've already got flash installed.
i solved it by going to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ (surprisingly difficult page to come across) and choosing my os (windows 7 64 bit) and then "Flash Player 11 for Internet Explorer (64 bit)"
hope this helps and cures your problems.

The problem turned out to be that I had to uninstall the flash players with some 'official adobe uninstaller' because just uninstalling it in control panel>remove programs wouldn't do it properly so it wouldn't install correctly. So I just uninstalled it with that and then download the flash player that included both 64 and 32 bit for IE and it worked.
