Make it clear this is the band and album name, I saw this first and thought it was a spam post advertising music.

ok im writing ths post in notepad as a stream of consciousness type thing. there may be frustrating punctuation and capitalization to follow, as well as some typos, as I have enjoyed both alcohol and marijuana on this night. it's just me being honest as me about your music. just the subjective opionion of one person, not worth much but just how i feel. just so you know someone listened and thought about it.
ok so first I got this off chrome and it was frustrating to find in spotify because I thought I had to import it but I didn't, and them I forgot your band name and couldn't find you. But ok here we are and I'm about to hit play on:
Track 1: Partially Fascist (overture)
Here we go. Immediately some noise that sort of sounds like someone fake-gagging, then a bit of techno and and singing before some dude pseudo-barking and sounding generally like he's trying to scare a young child. More sonic noise, like you're fighting a video game villain and winning. He's in despair, and now I think I've won. Sudden off-kilter silence and then a dude talking about making this album in some sort of meta thing. Then his voice is deep like darth vader, then normal again. Sparse noise in the back, still talking about the album. He's guaranteeing I've never heard these sounds before but I'm pretty sure I have, just without his robot voice. Song ends on some guitar noodling, note and ends on the the dude again.
Track 2: Good Time (clean)
Ok. So right off I'll say this sounds sort of like The Shins but if they were hobbits. But I don't mean that in like a mean way. The flute or recorder or whatever sounded bad or first but then kinda works with the transition and then this song actually starts to get kinda catchy, maybe if the vocals were just re-done a bit to not sound just so YELPish. and then it fades and is back, and kinda enjoyable. I like it, its like a pleasant video game theme.
Track 3: Next Stop Japan
Like the start so far. Ok now it's got this weird techno thing going I don't dig. the background stuff is interesting. I think the talking isn't working for me. these sounds, either found or recorded, seem contrived and really just out of place. this song has taken an unpleasant turn for me. it's like the soundtrack of a bad horror movie, but in the sense that I just kinda want to skip it now. but I won't. more effects that sort of sound like screaming. this is really an assault on the senses at this point. I could honestly see using this track as psychological torture to scare off bad room mates or bewilder the senses of bank robbers or cult leaders. absolutely nightmarish. ended with some random clip of mary tyler moore theme. I now have a genuine headache and have to smoke more.
Track 4: Strange Luv
Intro has promise, as would any song after the last, if not a bit atonal at parts. Seems a bit Antlers-ish until the voice cracks trying to hit the high notes. this song is kinda haunting. this seems like the type of song buffalo bill from silence of the lambs might listen to on repeat. song is eerily mantis-like, whatever that means. some dude talking about creeping. i cant tell if he's trying to rap or sing or what. is he talking about sexual assault? "give free reign to your strange love" eh? also the bass on this song seems so thin. im listening to this on good headphones and it just sounds kinda tinny and squeaky. maybe you meant it like that but it just doesn't sound that fulfilling. Also this song is dragging on wayyyyy toooooo long. I'm at 5 mins, I can see there's another full minute of this weird electronic glitching to go, and it's just too long. tbh I don't get this stuff at all. no offense mate but you're not thom yorke.
Track 5: We Fall Asleep (DoubleSong, Wear HeadPhones)
Well, not sure if that's an instruction in the title, but I am. More vocal samples and robotic sounds. Off kilter singing about doughnuts. Really going on about the doughnuts and rugs while some dude makes sexual references as much as I can discern. Can't listen to both of them at once, something weird is going on now. I don't know what anyone here is going on about. Sparse notes and beat punctuate this awkward singing, just words now colliding in the air as they mosh around in the horrible lyrics. Did you really just say "what the fuck is a reality?" you can't just stuff profound-sounding words into a sentence and expect to have a legitimately profound result. Why did I need headphones for this? There was barely any instrumentation to note. Balderdash.
Track 6: CROWN PRINCE
Starts off quite nice actually. Couple of guitars, sounding almost spanish, but also a bit clumsy in places where the 2 lines trip over each other. I think this might be better re-written for one guitar, or maybe just that one of the guitarists isn't performing well on this recording. Oh I just noticed it's like 10 minutes long and I'm only 2 mins in. It's sort of evened out a bit now and it's nice again. Guitars seems to be working together in spite of a couple of weird moments. One guitar seems to be working a sort of beat that might be better if it were more paced and measured and idk, it just seems to be in and out at the wrong times. then this part next is nice again, with some nice guitar work and harmonies. im now a few minutes past and I haven't written anything because I've actually been enjoying the song! a little work on the guitars not wishtstanding, this while leading up to about 6 mins was quite good. now we're in a part that sort of seems different. don't like it nearly as much as the last part (7:30 as I write this) seems just unfocused and scatter shot. Starting to feel like the rest of the song might be like this. guitarists are now doing some sort of weird 1-2-3-4-5 picking thing over and over for a bit. ok so its 9 mins and im going to go to the next song because I think I "get" what the rest of this will be. nevermind the song ended while I wrote that last sentence. Not a bad ending, a bit abrupt.
Track 7: Bummy People (Like, Like)
This dude talking again. I don't care about wtf he has to say at all. Why should I? It's so gratuituous and useless. Just make your damn music and don't fucking preach to me. I don't need some dude dropping fucking "knowledge bombs" on me while I'm trying to listen to music. This isn't npr, I'm not soliciting your god damned opinions on the philosophical nature of music fuck off.
Track 8: ROYAL SAMPLER
Last track left a bad taste in my mouth but shaking it off. This starts off nice. A couple of notes, almost like a post-rock thingy. Then sounds that sound like some dude if he was trying to scream but instead if expelling the air from his lungs he was sucking it in. like he was trying to scream in. totally unsettling and it just won't stop. it now sounds like an old man on a ventilator in a hospital, gasping for breath and dreaming about the son that never visits him while his young black nurse, Lou, tries his hardest to coaxt him back into reality. but he keeps remembering this one birthday party, and how his son was upset with the clown. the clown now wants to be paid, even though he hasn't performed. You're mad, and dizzy. You need a gin and tonic, where is your wife and why isn't she dealing with this shit?
In your anger you see your son in a corner. He's looking at you, just disappointed. Now the track is skipping and I'm out of it.
Track 9: What Is It Worth
Weird atonal 8-bit sounding thing with weird chanting over it. like some community college production about a video game about an indian tribe that sacrifices people to a volcano and you have to avoid them.
Alright well we have mercifully reached the end of this exercise. Let me say this has been an experience. I hope I don't sound too disparaging, though. Even my poor taste still found moments in here that were genuinely well done and enjoyable to listen to, so cheers!

^awesome brood
theres NOTHING wrong with not liking music, you know as well as any other that things work different ways for different people. what i think is really cool is that you went for it though, having an open mind like that is really cool and i think anyone who can keep that up in their life is going to have a nice ride. i dont take offence to it at all. the whole experiment last 22 hours, and the songs are presented in the order we wrote and created them. by track 7 we were a bit drunk and quite tired, so maybe that helps you understand the placement of that song a bit better. the "like like" was included in the title to kinda poke fun at my friend n stuff, to hopefully show we weren't TOO serious, sort of just drunk ramblings on a bar stool amongst friends. i think we were trying to more INCLUDE the listener on the journey rather than exclude people and be preachy.
luckily i have had feedback where people say they found it entertaining and stuff, but its no worries if you didnt .
As for the rest of the songs, they are what they are and they are beautiful little mongoloid children. i always enjoy sharing TL these sort of things. Not quite as stuck up as Something Awful , but still are an opinionated bunch.
much luv doods.
