and I loved it!
I cannot describe the feeling I got when Derby spoke, completely did not see that coming!
What I really liked was that it had a really good flow to it and you can easily distinguish the conflict and reason behind everything that happens. Applejack did a really good sticking to her character by remaining honest and the growth she gets after this episode makes me like her so much more. On a similar note, Pinkie pie was hilarious, Fluttershy was cute (as always =D), and RD...was awesome!
9.75/10
.25 missing for the following...
How is fluttershy able to run as fast as RD? ...I'm lost

I think it's finally time to tell why and how I became a brony and why I've stayed one. It's nothing special, just thought I'd share.
Like many people here I found out about MLP:FiM in a quite epic fashion, the Ponycraft 2 video. Back then I didn't think that much about it, I just thought it was ridiculously well made and everything fitted. When I read the comments I was surprised when I found out that some people was watching this thing seriously, the comment that I still remember was something like "I love how their personalitys fit perfectly". It made me the teeniest of bits curious.
At the time I thought it was a movie and I thought how they managed to fit so many epic scenes in one movie. Despite that I thought that it was a show for little girls and I wasn't interested in checking it out. It was probably one of the biggest mistakes I made in 2011. All of this was in January I think.
Then it just came slowly, every now and again I would see a pony picture on the [SFW] picture thread and I would almost always laugh at them but I never thought of actually watching it. Despite that I think these made me warmer to the idea of watching ponies.
Now we're at the first week of the summer break and I'm free from school! Actually, the 11th grade was the hardest year of school I have ever had so when it was done I could just relax. I was free to do whatever I wanted to do, so like any other guy I decided no to do anything. Until a video popped up on my youtube:
Now this is where it got interesting, I finally saw MLP in a light which had never existed to me before. So this is where I decided to watch it. I was pretty surprised to see that there was 26 episodes of this but I got through them it two days. The feeling at the end of that second day is something that I can not describe.
I went on EqD just a few days after that but I was actually a little bit scared by them right at that time and why wouldn't I be? I had first been exposed to the most mind-shattering experience ever only to find out that there was people who were crazy about this. Madness, I thought, I would never become like them.
As the summer went on I returned to the colorful ponies alot, a day that stood out was the day my ISP decided to break their DNS-server so I had no internet. It was also on during my first job week so I was pretty angry the entire afternoon. Until I decided to go to bed early and watch ponies. It made me happy.
Sometime after that, I don't remember exactly, I started to go onto EqD regularly. It had gone from being a frightening experience to a really pleasant one. Funny how that works. It was sometime around here the TL-thread started (Thank you GM!), which will be quite important in the next part of the story.
The next big thing in my bronydom was the conversion of two and a half of my friends. We were going to a music festival in my town on the last saturday of summer break. Now those guys are some of my best friends, but I wasn't confident enough to actually start a conversation about MLP but because of this very thread I didn't have to. The conversation started something like this:
Friend #1: So have you noticed what TL says we should watch?
Me: Oh MLP:FiM, yeah, I've already watched that.
Friend #1: What? (He was laughing while he said this)
Friend #2: What are you talking about?
Now was the time when almost everybody around me started listening.
Me: We were talking about MLP:FiM, possibly the best show ever. (Paraphrasing)
Then I gave a short lecture of the greatness that is the magic of friendship. Now two of those that listened, friend #1 and 2 are bronies while another one is just a fan.
From now on I basically just went on EqD once a day, reading tumblrs and created a Deviantart account to be able to keep up with all things pony. I tried to read this thread once a day but there was so much other content I had to watch that I decided to make it the lowest priority. Another great mistake of 2011.
Then one day in November after reading the thread a bit more carefully than usual I saw what I had missed. I had basically avoided the chance to become a part of one of the greatest communities on the internet. That's when I finally decided to go the IRC and hang out with you guys. I have not regretted it since.
I love being a part of this community and I just wanted to show my appreciation to you, because if you wouldn't have existed, there is a chance that I would have never been able to show my friends what this is all about.

That was all, thanks for reading it.

Read great, thanks for sharing!
I second that feeling you get from watching MLP:FiM, no matter how dreadful my day was I always feel better after going back on a few episodes. I also watched all of season 1 in two days haha
And I'm surprised you brought up MLP in a conversation, I would never have the nuts to even think about it when I'm around friends. I mean, I'm usually perspective in making arguments and taking sides of a situation but I simply cannot imagine how my friends would react if they knew I watched MLP.
