He completely fits with the new "sign Koreans who aren't good enough to win in Korea but good enough to beat most foreigners" model of player management...
Unlike PuMa, who can't qualify for GSL, JYP is actually Code S.
That is true, but I think there is still something of a trend here.

Guy made it through one Code A GSL and suddendly he's the best in the world? Yeah this is completely over the top. I don't think so. Besides this he's only got one minor tournament win under his belt, I think he's good but he's no MC, Oz, or Naniwa.
What did OZ win? Not even a minor tournament. What was Naniwa and MC's luck getting through code A. Didn't think so. JYP was pretty damn good even before he went through it was just unlucky for him not to go through last season (he beat DongRaeGu in the first round, and DRG went on to get the seed through MLG >.<)
Oz took third place in the last GSL code S. At MLG Providence Naniwa took down every top Korean except Losira. When JYP wins an MLG we can talk about him being better than MC. Best protoss in the world? Yeah I don't think so.

Puma only tried it once to qualify as far as i remember. And is certanly capable against Korean

Naniwa is good for sure but he's 1-10 in gsl or something right? I think JYP is stronger than naniwa at least when and where it counts.
Yeah, but if I had to bet on a game, I would bet on a game with Naniwa.

He's in Code S. Try and troll better next time.
So was Jinro. Getting to Code S once proves nothing. Let me know when he takes down MMA, or MVP, or Oz, or really any top Korean.

I wonder why people keep saying this about puma. Well I know it's to make excuses for him, but he's tried more than once and most recently lost to Life in the first round of the most recent code a qualifiers.

JYP can't win in korea?
He has one of the highest PvP and PvZ win rates of ANY protoss...

He's tried it once since he joined EG. That's probably what people are talking about.

(But I still <3 you Jinro!)
I don't think Jinro makes a very good example for your argument. He really was one of the best players in the world at one point.
Maybe Puma can help out JYP's PvT so he can be well rounded in every match up. Awesome pick up for EG. 2 players in code S now and Huk in code a with a solid chance to get back up.
Pretty easy call though. most people got it. I guess Kelly was trolling when she was saying gogo bad guesses or just referring to all the people thinking Grubby
Pretty hilarious that the silhouette was a troll, I knew they wouldn't be stupid enough to put up an actual silhouette after the Liquid`Zenio announcement was shot days before the actual announcement.

well they do have incontroll as their captain so job well done thinking that up. I think most people had a pretty good idea though. They did manage to throw off some people with the silhouette

Puma was in TSL with JYP before so i doubt any thing big will change, besides, TSL house more good players than EG.

I don't want to go into who is better EG or TSL, but TSL house is a better practise envirenment than Slayershouse+EG?

i'm only talking about EG, not Slayers, but i admit Slayers terran will def be better for JYP, not sure about their zerg and protoss line up. TSL is pretty well rounded except their protoss line up which is devastated after the previous 2 loss

Too bad the best players in the GSL are all terrans.
Listen, I'm not trying to argue he's a bad player; he's quite good. I'm just trying to point out the recent trend among top foreign teams who are picking up Koreans who have not accomplished anything major in Korea (just getting into Code S doesn't count for me) but are good enough to easily stomp most foriegners. Puma, Hero, Zenio, Rain, and now JYP (and quite a few others). I can't say for sure, but I get the feeling that some of these teams (maybe not TL, but the others) are just picking these guys up to use as "ringers" in foreign tournaments and to bait in Korean views. Idk, I just don't like it. I guess it works out great for the Koreans in the end, they get huge exposure to the larger foreign scene.

HUGE players usually aim at focusing on their glory than money? Besides winning GSL can give you a lot of money too
