the min-only bases were on high ground so the sunkens were super powerful against them since not many bio units could get on the ramp. in addition, leta spread his forces early because he found out there were two ninja expands and he thought he had to take them both down. maybe if he'd focused his forces on only one of them or gone up the backdoor so he didn't have to struggle through the ramp
Yeah I'm not entirely sure why Leta's split his army up, he had to small forces sitting outside the bases doing nothing. He attempted to attack 10 and after he lost 2 marines he backed off and left his marines there, as if it were some sort of contain
i think part of it was shock. these kids practice constantly but i think zero's play was honestly 100% unexpected. i'm not sure how much of leta's strength comes from good decision-making but you're definitely right that we didn't see him making great decisions this game.
that said, he may have been thinking to deny further expansions (since gas expands are more powerful for zergs), or he may have been trying to block off units.

How did you let him get that many DAs? enough to take all your drones lol

A balls-to-the-wall full-on attack on the fourth could have won him the game (he was far ahead on supply), but instead he chose to play safe vs. a super-greedy build. A Zerg with more than double a Terran's bases not under a dangerous attack will always win (unless it's Flash, who doesn't count as these rules are meant for humans, not cybernetic super-beings).
ZerO just played it out correctly, keeping minimal defenses while getting ready for late-game. Immaculate ZvT, including the 4 drone pressure (Leta was forced to pull 8 SCVs, lost a lot more mining time and was delayed in tech).
zero made his 4th and 5th at almost identical times
Jaedong's was definitely more pimp, but Zero's double min only expo into brilliant defense with nydus/sunks into taking both mains was simply brilliant.
Jaedong's rush, unfortunately, only succeeded because Midas suck. If that bunker surround had failed, it would most likely have been Midas' win.

That's what I was thinking as well rofl. That loss must've been really painful.

im like E iccup, he like fish server veteran lol dont remember how we even got in the same game, perhaps on blizzard server
Suddenly, I realize the extent of the horrible, horrible combination that has been created by placing the best/second-best TvZer next to one of the best macro ZvTers ever.

Nah it was actually a very good game, although I am sad that Light did not avenge Sea.
