Many yellow ranks and aboves have not yet laddered enough to reach their true rank, so it's quite easy to run into them in D games.
Nonetheless, there is still fun in the D world.
And playing this particular game really brought me memories of that classic FlaSh vs. Calm in 2009 EVER OSL on Fighting Spirit.
I hope you enjoy it. (it's long)

So I spawn as brown terran (my least fav color) on 7.
I wanted to have some fun this game, so I decided to 13cc instead of 1 rax fe to spice things up.
Unfortunately, his scouting drone arrived relatively early, and he decided to annoy me as much as he can.
I wasn't in any mood to lose an scv to a gosu micro drone, so I bring 2 scvs to make sure that the threat is gone for good.
Meanwhile, my scouting scv finds him going 12 hatch on cross position.
good. no dying to 9 pool speed or 4 pool
He sends a 2nd drone to see what I'm up to, but I close the door on his face.
When I scan his base, I find out hes going standard 3 hatch muta.
His mutas arrive and try to find an opening, but I calmly defend
and tech
And as expected, I see he has taken his 3rd while this ordeal was going on.
I've ran marines through ramp lurkers before, so this time, I decided to do something different.
I heard 7 mariners and 1 medic is pretty good.
But unfortunately, his mutas and lurkers (and sunken) were too much for me.
I only killed few drones and an extractor.
No big deal, I proceed to move out when I have a decent size group of mariners and medics.
All while taking my 3rd.
But bad news. I scan his base, and he has defilers ready.
So I instead decide to take a sneak 4th
When hes ready, he draws the sword.
Lurkers with dark swarm, terran's nightmare.
But I have vessels to snipe his defilers.
you can run but you can't hide
Without defiler support, he is forced to retreat.
I then roam around the map to clear some stray maverick ling forces to secure my 4th.
Once my 4th is up, I prepare to gear it up for late game
Meanwhile, my patrol forces sight the first group of cows.
Cows under dark swarm, ultimate weapon of zerg.
The calm before the storm ensues for short period of time, but not for long. His original mutas find an opening and raid my 4th.
My mispositioned mariners hurry their way back to defend.
But that was nothing more than a diversion. His real intention was a frontal assault.
I clean up the muta raid, but his attack has begun.
I do my best to keep the cows green gassed.
But thats a crap ton of lurkers.
swarm over lurkers = dislike
Now this is terran's real nightmare
I am forced to lift my cc and lose who knows how many scvs. not much I hope.
Sensing blood, he brute forces his way up my throat (the ramp).
There is no breathing room here. As soon as the cows are mopped off, his lings streams in.
and more cows (but at least I green gassed them all)
With the skin of my teeth, I manage to defend for now.
By this time, he has some bad beef with my vessels, for he knows it was them who weakened his cows.
Run vessels Run
All but 1 die
Having killed my vessels, he knows the moment is now and sends his new wave of cowlings.
My front line mariners do not stand a chance...
But this time, I am more than ready to meet him.
His forces are cleaned up with relative ease.
I muster every vessels and roam the center, looking for things to green gas. But it's a dangerous world out there.
I find his rally point, and it has some delicious looking defilers.
I do my best to green gas them and get the fuck out before flying sharks come in
and indeed they came
I am now forced to use scan and flying buildings to scout. And scout it did...
holy cow...
Following my instinct, I try to green gas them, but not without sacrifice.
Turns out, he had a different agenda this time.
DROPS
Operation Overlord
But green gas and stimmed 3/3 mariners are pretty good against overlords.
Of 12 overlord worth of cows, lings, lurkers, defilers, only 2 cows and 1 defiler managed to touch the ground. All three of them got instaPOPPED.
Meanwhile, on my other base....
life is good
12 overlords worth of units killed for minimum casualty. Now I decided to go out and claim some land, but he still has respectable lings that do well against medicless mariners
I fail to move out of the bridge, but I reposition my tanks so that he can't enter either.
After some heavy casualties of countless cows, defilers, lurkers and heavy scourge usage, my opponent realizes that he can no longer afford these expensive commodities, for he is no longer Saudi Arabia.
He decides to take every expansions left on the map.
he wishes he could say taking middle is a bm and not necessity.
Still, with overlord drops being a fiasco, he decides its better to approach this instictively, but with technique.
I on the other hand cannot allow him to have 9 oclock and middle, so finally I decide to partition this panzer division
and deny him 9 oclock
At the same time, with the help of dark swarm, he is making some progress brute forcing his way into my defense.
However, this is a battle between immovable object and very stoppable force.
His army to the right has been demolished, he had nothing to defend 9 oclock.
thou shall not let him have 9 oclock -FlaSh
Out of desperation or whatever, he continued his illfated attack to my 5 oclock.
But the tide has turned, and now, my vessels can roam free.
I doubt he has a standing army now, and all I need to worry about is some stray maverick forces.
I got so tired of losing vessels to scourge, I built some valkyries. YEAH
And my assault on his middle begins. I could tell he was extremely gas hungry by this point.
Green gas is still as useful as ever in weakening those cows.
With few tank support, my mariners deny him the middle expansion.
Out of gas, out of momemtum, out of strength, my opponent knows his fate and leaves without gg.
they say I like to blog ggless games
