I find that listening to music helps, once you get past a few games and get in a flow, it's easy.

Even if you lose 10 games in a row, you should be able to get back to your position easily. Don't worry about it and just click the button and play.

But I'm under 1000 wins so I instantly feel emasculated.

One day I just decided "fuck it", and dropped like 20 ranks doing weird stuff. Like floating mains to golds, thor scv all-ins, making PFs at naturals, etc. And oddly enough, after losing about 10 games my win rate stabilized at 50% in mid-diamond WHILE I was doing all that fun dumb stuff. Because even though I was playing terrible with my new builds, I was having much more fun. I went from playing like 5-10 games per ladder session to 15-20 just because I wasn't stressing about my rank anymore. And whenever I need a morale boost, its super easy to bust out one of my old builds that I know work against masters and totally crush the diamond scrub. This game should be fun. If you stop having fun in order to get to masters, then when will you have fun? I mean, even if you were suddenly promoted to Masters right now, you'd probably be so afraid of dropping back to diamond that you'd be stuck in the same trap.

How are they jealous if he struggles to get promoted? I neither agree nor disagree, just asking. However, practice is always useful despite game count.

i play as much as i can until i can see in losing because in getting tired and not playing at my best and then stop. no point in losing because of a lapse in concentration but i dont see the problem with losing to someone if i know i did well. it just means your mmr is increasing and you are playing against better players

It would be nice to take a break ever 5 games or so rather than straight up 10 games on one sitting (assuming all long macro games)
