// edit because sarcasm does not go well through the internet : I don't care for real, the competition did not mean to identify a winner in teamplay maps anyways (not a complaint, it was stated that way from the beginning). I won't vote on the poll before the aesthetical adjustments anounced for a number of maps are done, though.

Just hope that Cloud Kingdom plays out well, as I think patient siege pushes are just unstoppable on it, and counterattacks nearly impossible with the first 3bases being so close to each other... (so it's mainly a TvZ problem and should favor mech over bio play in TvT) Haven's Lagoon looks cool and I love maps with this kind of 2player mirror set up, as it allows for very interesting strategies (expanding in a line towards your enemy with big army play, spreading out expansions with mobile play) a little less water would be nice, as a lot of people play on lower resolutions and water is just ugly there. Sanctuary is a solid 3player map (we don't see enough of those) and I'm especially interested how the horizontal ramps play out, as they are a no-go for many people, even though there is nothing wrong with them. They just work a little different if you want to wall them...

If you looked at Haven's Lagoon just now, an update has already been made since when the finalists were anounced. That update significantly improved the texturing quality.

But you will appreciate the defensive abilities on this map, there are only few maps which give you the ability to defend yourself well with less units

Mostly my complaints lie with the third being too hard to defend well as a zerg against strong midgame pushes (like a 6gate or 7gate blink or something) and then the fourth requires complete map control to keep and will probably force engagements on that center high ground strip which is thin and choky (like the rest of the map). The fifth is nice, but only if you can hold the fourth. But I tend to get very opinionated about maps very fast, so I'm probably giving it a harder time than it deserves.
