I have a youtube channel I'm making for casting practice (and possibly into a full casting channel) and for some reason when I try to upload a video for the past 2 days, it cuts the video down to 3:54...which is entirely wrong.
The 3 videos I've tried are all FLV and 158MB, 244MB, and 358MB in size, yet no luck. 720P format.
I've looked at a couple places for solutions, but have found none that work. Tried Chrome and Firefox.
Possible suggestions? Is there a max rate you can upload videos or a max file size?
Hm, I also have a private Youtube channel to practice casting games, I've uploaded 720p footage just fine yesterday that was way longer than 3:54.
The only thing that I find weird is the data sizes. 158MB couldn't possibly be much more then 4 minutes in 720p, at least with my H264 encoding. How are you encoding your videos? Google H.264 and VirtualDub and give that a try if your're not doing that already and see if that changes anything. FLV also isn't the most common container (ie. file format), I personally use .AVI, is there any way to switch this up for you?
The codec conversion done by Youtube is the only reason I can come up with assuming your video files aren't broken. There is no limit apart from 15 minutes in case your channel hasn't been set free for unlimited length.
See, the interesting thing is I have 3 other videos up there of the same exact codec and type that worked fine when uploading. But this 4th video (no matter which I choose) gets stuck at 3:54. It's a most curious situation.
I shall try again; this time converting from FLV to avi.
