Funny enough it was the same in Broodwar lol.

Well, we better hope Prime doesn't disappoint us, because I was rooting hard for TSL

You see everyone protoss isnt in such a bad shape its just the way the pro's have been playing. badly. He didn't beat MVP, just took a game off him. But yeah, pretty insane play today though i felt like it was because he was sort of an unknown quantity. His build is really unique compared to other protosses and the TSL terrans may not know about his playstyle, which is why they didn't know how to best play against it.Got to wait and see. Remember there used to be ST_squirtle, a protoss which ripped up the team league scene but then faded out into obscurity.
Perhaps but the entire TSL bench got to see the obvs point of view for 2 terrans before Alive came out. They had a bit of time to brainstorm a counter to the double forge. But it is different then the norm.
Still mad props to Creator being an absolute beast today and taking Prime to the Finals.

So disappointing..... Lee really made some big mistakes.RevivaL aLive and Heart could have beaten anyone on the prime team except Creator... Why send them all in when Creator has the obvious edge over them??? Imo Lee lost TSL the match... Anyways awesome job from Creator doin his job. GL Prime ftw~!

What kind of analysis is this?
1) Why do you think these players are unable to beat Creator? Just because hindsight is 20/20 doesn't give us reason to suggest that they would lose. Creator has shown promise in the past but Alive and Revival have shown results.
2) What choice did they have? JYP pretty much killed the rest of Prime, it's not like there'd be anyone else after Creator so no point in holding back your other guys

The biggest surprise for me was no Hongun, his PvP seems so boss that I would've thought he'd get sent out to take out JYP at least.

No the players lost the match. I don`t see how the blame can go to the coach. What other choice did they have? What makes you think Revival, aLive, and Heart can`t beat Creator? What is this obvious edge you speak of? I doubt anybody would have expected that.

alive messed up his timing badly. Clide was a bit too greedy in his game too and it costs him the game. Creator is not a god, he's beatable.

I had to go to school when mkp and clide were playing thinking it would be cake after clide was winning. I come back to creator destroying everyone haha
Shitty deal for TSL, was rooting for them.
GL PRIME in the finals

What a stupid post. Unless you have some inside information from Korea there's zero basis for this belief. All of Creator's broadcasted games have been mediocre at best. He had a good day, that's all.

3 Terrans seems like a mistake, but its not like Creator dominated all 3 Terran's, I'm not even sure its his best matchup. Sure he had a good day, and props to him for that, but all 3 Terran's had good opportunities to beat Creator, especcially aLive, who's timing push was basically a build order counter to Creator's build, but aLive choked twice and didn't engage. Lee made the right choices, but all his players, apart from JYP and Clide, messed up.

protoss 7-1 tonight, still bad?

just saw the results. Holy crap Prime!
this si why Team Leagues are always more exciting than individual leagues.
Can´t wait to see JYP beasting.

The thing is, and I'm sure many people around here don't understand, is that playing in a team league it's NOT the same as an individual GSL. In team leagues, at best you might prepare a couple of strategies considering an opposing race and map, while the rest of the matches are mostly ladder type strategies. In individual league, you can prepare a handful of strategies for the same opponent. This being said, considering the state of the game, it's pretty "easy" for a Terran or Zerg player to find out what are the weaknesses of a Protoss player.
And btw, Protoss got 7 wins today, 5 of them against Code A level players (some are even Code B). Furthermore, Clide lost like he always does ("I got the advantage, let me throw it away"). So do us all a favor, and don't start saying Protoss is doing OK. The RNG of team leagues today determined a good day of the race, though the future is still dark unless things mix up a lot.
Blizzard is probably relieved this sort of thing happened. Though like I said, you can't take team leagues as a measure of racial balance. It's just not how it works. T_T more. If these past GSTL games have shown us anything, it's that protoss is not as bad as some people would like to think. I guess some people will always be looking for excuses when they lose though...
