Q: Thoughts on making it to the Round of 16 four seasons in a row?
A: I've broken through a difficult Terran group and made it to the Round of 16, so I'm really glad. I lost a lot in practice, so I was worried about going to the Up and Downs, but my games went well, so I'm happy.
Q: Your said your winrate on Terminus wasn't good in practice?
A: My winrate in practice was really bad. When I lost to MVP I thought it might be that way, and when I lost to Fenix I realized that it was going to be really difficult. I played a lot of games thinking that it was more important to play many games than to win in practice, and when I came here I was able to empty my feelings and have a good result.
Q: How did you feel about your first game with MMA?
A: MMA usually uses drops a lot. I don't usually use the in-game timer, but this time I practiced with it. I measured when I needed to block drops and played that way. I prepared thinking that I could win as long as I could stop his medivacs.
Q: Thanks to your practice, you continued without losing a single unit to drops.
A: My ideal situation came to be. I practiced a lot against medivacs, and today my defense turned out very well.
Q: In the Winner's Match, your play involving using banelings to beat Thors was really good.
A: I've wanted to play a game with Nada, but until now I haven't had a chance to. But this time I got a chance to, so I was happy. Basically, banelings worked well against my opponent's Thors. Rather than using other units to defend, wiping out all of his units at once with banelings worked well.
Q: You were knocked out by MVP last season.
A: Before the Round of 16, we had both promised that whoever won that match would win the tournament, and MVP kept his promise. Because we both now have three titles, we will be competing again as rivals from the same position, and I will do my best.
Q: The bracket is set up so that you could meet up with MVP in the Round of 8.
A: When I was practicing with MVP on Terminus, I got really discouraged. But since you can exclude Terminus in the Round of 8, I hope to meet him one more time.
Q: Do you think you can win this season?
A: I said that I had confidence against Terran during the Group Selection Ceremony, but after my practice on Terminus I've gotten really disheartened. If Terran doesn't make mistakes, Zerg can't do much to win. There are 18 Terrans left, so it won't be easy, but I will do my best.
Q: Anything else you want to say?
A: I really want to thank the person to blame for practicing with me to the point of discouragement, MVP, as well as IM_Happy and IM_Fenix.

Q: Thoughts on making it to the Round of 16 twice in a row?
A: I'm very happy. This was my first time being in the fifth game, so I was really nervous. Usually I don't get nervous, but today I was very tense. But Hee-Chul hyung bought me some chocolate, and I was able to relax.
Q: It wasn't an easy group, so you must have practiced hard.
A: My scenario got messed up. If I had had things my way, I would have beaten Nestea twice, but I lost in the first game so my plans got twisted. Thankfully, Coach Ryu Won consoled me and I was able to play the next game without any problems.
Q: In the first game, you weren't able to avoid having your drops get shut down.
A: Essentially, if the opponent's defense is set up well like that, drops can't get into the base, but I was committed to the drop so I let all my units out and lost them all. It was my mistake.
Q: Were you in a bad mental state during the Loser's Match?
A: I was not burdened by thoughts of the Up and Downs. I just look at the games in front of me and try to do my best.
Q: You used some tactical play in your game against Nada.
A: I always go for management games in broadcasted matches, so I figured going for an all-in strategy would do well this time.
Q: You will be matched with whoever advances first out of Group D.
A: I'm friends with all of those players, so the games should be fun whoever I play against. I'm already looking forward to the Round of 16.
Q: How did you spend time when you had no games to play?
A: I played soccer with Hwaseung Oz. There were rumors that the Starcraft 1 teams are good at soccer, so I wanted to play with them once. The result was our team winning 6-5.
Q: What's your goal this season?
A: I want to win all the games ahead of me and make it to the finals. I can't forget the time I went to Anaheim, so this time again I want to go to the finals at Blizzcon.
Q: Anything else you want to say?
A: I want to thank Gayeon, Boxer, Coach Cella, Coach Ryu Won, and Hee-Chul hyung. I also want to thank friendly Clide and snobby Ryung for helping in practice. Also, Ganzi, Taeja, and Coca have their games left to play in Code S, so I hope that they can all get to the next round. Finally, I hope that Boxer can quickly return to Code S.

Q: You've gotten to the Code S Round of 16 for the first time. How are you feeling?
A: Last season, I won once in the Round of 32 then lost the next two games. It was very regrettable, and I especially thought I could have won the final match. Today I rose neatly with two wins, so I'm very happy. (laughs)
Q: It seems you were able to show off your TvZ today.
A: I was able to show it to some degree. But I think I didn't get to show it 100%. (laughs) My TvZ is just tussling with the Zerg so much that he can't ever inject larva. (laughs)
Q: Did you think you would win twice in a row?
A: If I could just beat Zenio, I thought I could win 2-0. I'm confident in my TvP and TvZ, and my TvT isn't bad.
Q: Thoughts on the Winner's Match with Virus?
A: After I caught his drop with my viking at 11 o'clock I knew I could win. But then suddenly some hellions trespassed into my base and I was surprised. It seems I need to be more meticulous with my sim city.
Q: This is your best result so far. To what degree will you keep rising?
A: I think that I might make it to the Round of 8 or the Round of 4. I'm confident to that degree.
Q: You have to face MMA in the Round of 16. Are you feeling confident?
A: Usually we are friends, but now I have to win to stay alive. We usually practice a lot, so it will be difficult to make builds, but I'm skilled at that. I will practice hard and win.
Q: FXO players are doing well lately. Has this had an impact on the atmosphere?
A: Yes, a lot. Because a lot of players on the team won before me, I felt that I could ride the momentum and win; it was a big help.
Q: You have a mutual agreement with Leenock.
A: We both agreed to make it to the finals. According to the brackets, we could only meet in the finals, so I hope that we both advance there together.
Q: Anything else you want to say?
A: I want to thank Choya for always helping me in the practice house. I want to thank FXO_Crane, FXO_Inori, and our team's zergs for their help in practice. FXO_Weekend lost today, but I hope that he can cheer up and have a good result in the next preliminaries. I also want to thank Head Manager Josh (FXO_Boss).

Q: This is your third time in Code S Round of 16. How do you feel?
A: Not especially good. After I lost the Winner's Match I got really mad at myself. I won in the final match, but I wasn't happy with myself.
Q: You didn't like the Winner's Match?
A: I had practiced a lot. But suddenly my hands weren't moving well and I kept getting supply blocked. I did worse than I thought I could have. It was very frustrating.
Q: Did losing in the Winner's Match have an impact on the final match?
A: Even though I was upset, after the winner's game ended I just focused on subduing my feelings. Since the Loser's Game was very long, I had time for my hands to get loose. I just thought to play the next game calmly.
Q: You've made it only to the Round of 16 three times, do you think this time you can make it to the Round of 8?
A: I'm not sure. (laughs) Onward, how much I practice will become very important.
Q: Your Round of 16 opponent is Nestea, thoughts?
A: I don't think Nestea is particularly difficult. I just have problems with my TvZ. Whether I win or lose, I just hope to play satisfying games.
Q: In the case of TvZ, aren't there a lot of deadly early game tactics you can do?
A: You can, but I just prefer to play long games. But I will have to pick my builds after seeing the maps.
Q: It seems that this time you won't pick long games. Is this right?
A: Usually in practice I like long games. But in practicing for this I will have to practice varying the ways I open. It's not that I won't go for long games.
Q: Do you think you'll make an appearance in GSTL tomorrow?
A: I might come out, but because of GSL today I wasn't able to practice much for GSTL, so I'm not sure. There are a lot of players who don't get a chance to get sent out. Personally I would like to play, but for the sake of the team's victory the best players should get sent out.
Q: Anything else you want to say?
A: A lot of players helped me practice. I want to thank them all. Also, I hope that tomorrow our team will win their playoff match and go on to win in the finals.
